English Football League: Returning loan players may be eligible for injury-hit clubs

If a club loaned a player out to an EFL club whose season has been terminated, they are now eligible to play for their parent club. There are other specific rules as well. This benefits Birmingham for example, who have 3 players loaned to L2 clubs available

It doesn't affect us as surprisingly we had no players on loan to an EFL club in the second half of the season

    Christ... Cant they have sorted these issues out before the restart?

    What next, injury hit clubs will be allowed to buy players etc. with the opening of the transfer window
