I'd swap Pablo Honey for Kid A. My first choice would be Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows.

    What's the Story Morning Glory
    Be Here Now

Be Here Now is a giant of an album that people weirdly and unfairly have a downer on

The first two were so good that most people (including me) see Be Here Now as a much weaker album.

Now if the order of release had been Be Here Now, What's the Story and then Definitely Maybe it would likely be seen in a better light.
Disagree. Be Here Now is just shit imo.Noel Gallagher has said he dislikes it. Liam Gallagher criticises Noel for slagging off Oasis music but even he avoids playing stuff off that awful 3rd album

As I said on the other thread, mine would be:

    David Bowie ('71-'73):

    Hunky Dory
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
    Aladdin Sane
    👍. Spot on.

    Ultra, Exciter.

The third is not necessary. Someone else can choose.

I was just trying to be kind to Carter!

But yes, you're right - it is shit.

    Shabooh Shobaah

Are we allowed to do more than one group?

Golfie shouldn't be allowed any as he has admitted to me that he no longer listens to new albums all the way through.
This should lead to disqualification imo.

    Bruce Springsteen

    Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle
    Born to Run
Great choice. Variation on a great Springsteen theme, my favourite three consecutively would be:

    Born To Run
Darkness On The Edge Of Town
    The River

I was torn between either of those bunch of three and also from the river to born in the USA via
    nebraska.

All three Springsteen trios posted are valid, I think.

In conclusion, it would appear that the Boss really is the boss.
    He indeed is the Boss.

the only one that i have reservations with that you both chose is The River. some good tracks on there but i dont think it needed to be a double album. i know i'm in a minority as i believe alot of people thought it was one of his best.

    To killerandflash:

If we are to consider the Pet Shop Boys, it is criminal to put Behaviour, let alone Very, over the first four albums.

It might be a matter of opinion, but I would be amazed if more than 2 per cent of people who know their music agree with you.

    Eels

    Beautiful Freak
    Electro Shock Blues
    Daisies of the Galaxy
I love how those second two are two sides of the same coin. One is all about death, loss, depression. The other is possibly the most optimistic, care free collection of songs I’ve ever heard.

    From:

"So I know you're going pretty soon
Radiation sore throat got your tongue
    Magic markers tattoo you
And show it where to aim
    And strangers break their promises
    You won't feel any
    You won't feel any pain"

    to

"I don't care for walkin' downtown
Crazy auto-car gonna mow me down
Look at all the people like cows in a herd
    Well, I like
    Birds"

I remember Frank Skinner talking about The Fall and how they (he) went on so long and were so relentless that fans of different ages would have their own take on exactly what was the most  important Fall era. The Brixie Smith era for me (then going back in time from there).
