Checked it out, because I had a nagging feeling it was Newcastle
Edinburgh Select versus Newcastle in front of the East Terrace on 6th August 1955
The match between Edinburgh Select and Newcastle, as shown above, was
one of the annual pre-season Edinburgh Charities Day fundraising
matches played between a selected Edinburgh team and a top English side
every year between 1944 and 1962, alternately at the Easter Road and
Tynecastle grounds. The image shows the tightly packed East Terrace
extending upwards in the background.
Boston United. Recognised The Stump before I noticed 'Boston' at back of stand. Honest.
You've been on Google if you know the stump 🤔
Mildly amusing and vaguely related. I had a guy come to Boston, Massachusetts from our London office (before the internet) and he spent a day trying to find the Boston Stump. Kept asking people how to get there. When he saw me that night, and asked me where it was, Lincolnshire was not the answer he expected.
Sadly not - I must admit that I can recognise very few foreign grounds, but I saw a documentary a few years back about Pele and there was film of him playing both at Santos and this ground. Given that my only knowledge of Brazilian grounds was basically what the Maracana looked like, I was intrigued that some of the club grounds were so small, so looked them up.....

Look at the kits.
Also - what on earth is the weird stand with what looks like a glass roof - looks French to me, but that’s just me passing in the wind !!!
Darlington.
I can only think of Queens Park and Dunfermline with the striped tops.

Possibly White Hart Lane though the background looks a bit "northern". Goodison Park?
Maracana
Sporadic has nailed it, I thought this was tricky.
Have you been?
I deliberately didn't answer! I thought it was Stoke as well!
