If there is anyone else on here that spent sick days from school reading Simon Inglis "Football Ground of England and Wales" and has then spent even more saddo years looking at every book on football grounds that exist, you build up a decent knowledge. The St Andrews picture was given away by the small light blue clock, Bloomfield Road by the one big terrace and the three small stands (as well as the marshalling yard next door - I'll get my anorak).
Remember Garry Nelson taking a walk of shame down Waterloo road I think it was,( got sent off) when they only had half the ground open because of redevelopment .
This was my ‘bible’ as a lad - superb book - this book is how I knew that the stand at Wrexham used to be in a cinema (plus lots of other knowledge you would only need in a quiz !!!)
