Sad news. No real age to go.1

RIP never a great fan of the music but loved his, and the bands, attitude1

One of the few guitarists I’d say was unique - loved the Go4 and saw them live a couple of times when they got back together. One of the best live bands when they were in their pomp and nice guys too. Still have a postcard the drummer sent me from America somewhere. It was a picture of the Regans and he just said ‘fans like this popping up all over the place’. Sad loss - can’t believe I won’t see him play live again.1

In January 2005, Gang of Four played their first gig for twenty years, at The Montague Arms (now closed) in New Cross.
Edit: Transpontine was there.

Seems that Andy Gill might have been one of the first victims of Covid-19:
Could Covid-19 have reached the UK earlier than thought?0 -
It's looking like he was an early Covid victim & yet not a mention of it on this thread.
It illustrates how quickly we became overwhelmed.0 -
People saying that they had symptoms earlier are becoming more and more, most put it down to "seasonal flu" and cold weather. Frightening that, especially as we were warned.Covered End said:It's looking like he was an early Covid victim & yet not a mention of it on this thread.

Almost like the government knew......
