Firstly , this is not meant to be a dig at Steve Gallen , LB or anyone else , i think they have all done a cracking job with our transfers to boot.
However, under Roland we did aquire a penchant for signing players with recurring injuries, (whether that was because of the financial restraints put on the club by Roland) i appreciate ALL players pick up injuries, be it niggles, tears or whatever, and you can't sign cyborgs.
I just wondered what sucessful methods other clubs use, to make sure when you sign a player that the odds are in your favour, rather than taking a punt.
I know we're clamouring to sign players, but i don't want us chucking money down the drain, and repeating the mistakes of the past, the last 2 seasons especially have been horrific , injury wise, and i'm still scratching my head as to how we are even in the division, let alone not bottom!
I'm so excited Lees signed a new contract with the club, because he is the right man for the job , maybe this is part of His Excellency's plan , to overhaul how we recruit / do things?

Either way we're always buggered.
With the arrival of ESI i would of hoped we would be shopping in Harrods. We shall see in the summer.
Generally.
Williams is an obvious exception, we would never have signed him if he wasn't.
I have never known a club have so many freak injuries as we have had over the last 2 season. Shoulders, acls, ankles, knees, head injuries, aren't generally preventable.
Because we have had so many of them others have had to over play and then had muscle injuries.
Plus we have 2 players with what can only be described as chronic injuries which means we have to have extra players in thier positions, thus having less depth else where.
Another thing is we, by necessity and design, tend to do our business late which means players don't get the correct preseason, then play catch up and then get injured.
Of course none of that covers the criminal negligence shown towards the welfare of several of our squad under the previous owner.
He signed something like 19 players in the close season.
Around 15 of them were signed by mid-July, before the club's pre-season training trip abroad.
The nucleus of the squad had plenty of time to gel and get to know each other.
Nearly everyone had a full pre-season training .... and injuries didn't derail our season.
Answer: The current approach of not signing any players
Happy to help..
