For people with Oyster weekly/monthly/annual tickets,it will probably be cheaper to buy a return ticket from the edge of the zone your ticket covers,for example Mill Hill Broadway[end of zone 4]/Luton day return £13.60 [£9.00] or Borehamwood & Elstree[end of zone 6]/Luton Day Return £12.60 [£8.30],Freedom pass & Oyster 60+ card holders tickets will give free travel as far as the end of Zone 6 if starting your journey before 16.00 hours.

This Thameslink service still blows my mind that you could feasibly get on a train at Rainham, pissed, to go to say Rochester, fall asleep and wake up at Luton parkway. mind you the amount of stops on the way youd have had a decent 6 hours kip0
