  • ...and living in the sticks, the video makes me wanna have a good day / night out in London, even though it's New York -

  • Guilty pleasure: Peter Sarsted, Where Do You Go To My Lovely........Ok, its bloody out there now.

  • Alicia Keys' version on Sinatra's New York where she changed the words and the tune
Confused. How is it the same song if they change words and music?

Sounds a bit like Trigger's broom!
    Give yourself a whooosh mate
  • Missing - Everything But The Girl

    Got about 6 different remixes

There are more than a few credible tunes on this thread. Some of you must be amazingly elitist about your music if they are your guilty pleasures...
  • Tatu - all the things she said
  • Luis Fonsi ft daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber - Despacito
  • Two Princes - Spin Doctors.
    Cuddly Toy - Roachford.
    Poison - Bell Biv Devoe.
Sunshine on a Rainy Day - Zoe.
Free Your Mind - En Vouge.
Can't think of Cuddly Toy without thinking about Alan Partridge mouthing the words in the opening credits of Alpha Papa - Lovely stuff, not my words Michael, the words of Shakin' Stephens!

  • Guilty pleasure - Lionel Richie, most of his stuff to be honest
  • Lionel Richie is brilliant.

Sail on is an all time great of mine
  • Not so much a guilty pleasure (I'll reserve that for Babs Streisand and Woman In Love and Guilty) but Aztec Camera's Somewhere In My Heart is in my top ten pop songs but doesn't seem to get too much recognition.

    That chorus is so catchy.
  • Don’t listen to him ^ he is drunk
  • Yeah like it too.

"A vision of love, wearing boxing gloves and singing Hearts and Flowers". One for the great lyrics thread too.
  • Wham - Club Tropicana
    The Village People - YMCA
Chesney Hawkes - The One and Only
Taylor Swift - Shake It Off.

    Bona fide classics indeed.

Can't take that away from him
  • T’Pau - China in your hand
  • Thanks for the Never Let Her Slip Away reminder Algarve.  Just added to a playlist.

I've got loads but one springs to mind.  Suzi will laugh.  I'm in the Mood for Dancing by the Nolans.  Never fails to get my foot tapping... not that i ever hear it anywhere i go. More's the pity.

  • Louis Louis  kind of played by Motorhead live, always brings a smile to my chops, great days.

Definitely gets me up that one!

Sheena Easton too (before Prince gold hold of her).
I played her album to death and still have a few on my iPod.
  • no such thing as  guilty pleasure, musically speaking.
If you like it, you like it.
How that could be embarrassing or gauche is nonsense.  Your taste may be niche but just cos nobody else "gets" it matters not one jot.
Nothing so vapid and phoney as the notion of 'cool' with pop music.  Liking a song is entirely irrational and emotional, rationalising it is pointless, judging it is juvenile.
