I remember walking into the Valley one sunny day in the 60s. The PA system was cranked up to 11 and Manfred Mann's Do Wah Diddy was being blasted out. I was in a good, happy place . Sadly I can't remember if that was just me personally or the football club in general .
Seeing as I ain’t really been since early 2000s, these do, as they always used to be played before the game and half time, on cheap sound systems. Not just at the valley, but all over the country. Think they still are in the lower league -
Pleasant Valley Sunday - Monkees Green Green Grass of Home - Tom Jones Honest Mistake - The Bravery (All played on the tannoy for one reason or another)
Don’t Stop the Carnival. Alan Price. Four in the morning. Faron Young. The Battle of Evermore. Led Zeppelin. I knew you were waiting. George Michael and Aretha Franklin. Into the Valley. Skids London’s Calling. Clash. Mull of Kintyre. Wings. Red Red Robin…any version.
and ‘Can’t Explain’ by the Who as it was the first song they played at the second Valley gig when we were all soaked to the skin.

You beat me to it. Four in the morning by Faron Young. It seemed like we won every time it was played.
