Still unbeaten! Another outstanding performance, particularly in the second half. And a clean sheet to put us near the top of the table.

Happy Addicks!

Over to you.

  • Who wants to do us the favour of under estimating us next? - Birmingham would you mind doing the honours?
  • Superb result and we're up into second.

6 games in and we're 1 point ahead of Leeds and 4 points ahead of Fulham. Incredible stuff.

    We love love you Charlton.
    Great work lads, well done.
There will be 2500 making plenty of post match noise for the boys.
  • Really did well in that second half... Was the performance we've come to expect at this level

First Half was all about keeping ourselves in the match, ensuring that Reading didnt get a lead whilst trying to get the lead if the opportunity arose, of course the chance did materialise early doors but couldnt quite take advantage of some good work from Leko who firstly forced the Goalkeeper into a save and then couldnt quite find a Charlton shirt with his cross

Second half we took it to Reading and pretty much dominated - Anything but a Charlton win would have been unfair and apart from two excellent saves; Phillips was pretty much a spectactor - Once again Championship teams can see as much of the ball as they want against us but if they're not going to create clear chances against our impressive defence then they're not going to score

Small shame that we've now got an International Break as would be great to carry on this excellent form yet its also a chance to now come back against Birmingham even stronger with Kayal and now Field (potentially) needing a bit of a break after what felt an early enforced change

The sky is the limit with Bowyer and this bunch! I was shit scared of playing these lot today from watching their sky performance the other week and results since but today we made them look like schoolboys!

Jesus do our lads look fit! They fight and scrap for each other in the 95th minute like they do in the 5th!

Gallagher or Cullen MOM for me.

Watched live ... and the joy of having watched every minute this season! Christ, I love technology...

Almost scored within a minute ... and then Bowyer just sorted them out at half time, Chuks was great, but we should have scored more... when we missed a few chances and Reading came back into it, that was the danger... but Bowyer will fix that...

    Gallagher almost scored a screamer...

This team are doing something special and another 5 games from now we really might start dreaming ....
  • 10 points clear of the relegation zone already bloody hell.

Second half absolutely fantastic, and to be honest the end to the first half was pretty great as well. Never seen us play football like this before the diamond is absolutely perfect there is always an option.

Whole midfield was incredible, thought Cullen was the weakest of the four first half but he was incredible in the second. Field probably my MOTM overall though and Gallagher still looks a cut above the division.

For someone who is "sulking" Taylor looks like captain material at the moment, would have thought he'd be a bit more frustrated as the way we are playing isn't getting him in the box that much, but he's turned into a target man bringing us into play,  and putting a hell of a defensive shift on the right too.

Leko is great fun to watch as well.

Then the defense as a whole was brilliant too, Lockyer is getting better every game

Oh and Phillips with two huge saves as well, fuck it give everyone a 10 in the player marks thread

We were great second half. Cullen and Gallagher were immense - like orrible snappy dogs all around yer ankles. Really controlled the game in second half - needed the second goal, and luvly, we got it !

Great performances all over the pitch. We dominated Reading with our skill, pace and tenacity. On a side note I'm so glad that Chris Solly has got to play in a team like this after so many years surrounded by mediocrity. The reds are going up.

    Farcical refereeing. Bloody aussies!!
We just don’t believe we can be beaten.
I love what LB has done for us all. I’m so proud of our club, despite the owner.
Cant wait to get back and watch our boys this season!!
We’re 2nd!! 2nd! It’s almost a pinch yourself moment, Unbelievable, almost, but the Charlton spirit is very much alive and kicking!!
