  • Hull are definitely beating Luton 5-0 next match. That's just how this league works

  • As I've said all along, the more teams between us and the bottom three the better as if only one team below us wins then at present its us that goes down

But never at the cost of one of the bottom 3 closing the gap ...
3 adrift below us by 4 points is better than 7 below us by 1 point
  • Honestly dont get the people that want the teams below us to get points on the board.

It was the same on Facebook when Luton were playing hudds. Some wanted Luton to win to keep hudds in the mix. Maybe because they were thinking we would pick up the 3 points against reading.

We want the 3 below us to get zero points. Its that simple.
Wigan are below us as well once they have the 12 points deducted. They can still easily catch us
Thats fine. Let them catch us. Bet let's hope that Hull, Luton and Barnsley dont.
Its annoying that Middlesbrough have a goal back against Reading...

Even a draw tomorrow could take us above Huddersfield / Middlesbrough who dont have any easy games left

As I've said all along, the more teams between us and the bottom three the better as if only one team below us wins then at present its us that goes down

If we get above two other teams (even on Goal Difference) then it wont be us going down
I'm just looking at the 3 behind us now. Not bothered about anyone a point or 2 ahead of us.

Maybe the wrong way to look at it but I just cant see any positive in hoping the 3 right up our arse pick up a point or 3 to drag other teams into the mix because we cant be trusted to go and win games.
  • Are the Wigan players still not being paid? If so that's a pretty abject performance - I would expect nothing less than double figures by half time in those circumstances!
  • My three to go down are Barnsley and Hull plus one, probably Charlton or Luton.

I think they came up with the payroll last week.

Pretty impressive that Wigan's 7 goals have come from 5 different goalscorers

The former is the ideal situation, but with the latter I wouldnt see all seven picking up wins

Winning tomorrow is everything. It would also put us ahead of Brum on GD and more or less level with Stoke if they lose

Oh god yeah - I think being on 49-pts would effectively save us

A point though wouldnt be a complete disaster (Yet that would need Huddersfield / Middlesbrough to both lose this midweek)
  • Bet Josh Bowler is sitting in the stands thinking: "Thank god" right about now

McCann on the other hand is probably thinking that Daniel Batty was potentially the wrong player to replace him with ;)

A point would be grim considering who we have to play next!

In which case I take it back. They are now earning their money. And Hull clearly aren't. A truly disgraceful performance. Most teams nowadays only have 4 or 5 shots on target in a game and we've had some without a single one on target.
  • I think we need to forget Wigan entering the relegation mixer and hope that hudders or boro take the third spot.

A win is the only acceptable thing now tomorrow and then we park the bus on Saturday.

Unbelievable Jeff... but this Wigan team have been bonded over their issues and we need to pull our finger out.

  • From stats looks like Boro are shading it.

    Still shading it....

And maybe even go for broke. Our GD is a lot better than 3 teams below us so losing by 2 or 3 isnt going to massively hurt us. So Bowyer has to take the gamble & make sure we win. No point trying to hold onto a 1-0 win.....have to go for it & score 2 or 3. I'll be seriously gutted if we let in a last minute equaliser when we might have been able to put a game to bed.
  • Have Wigan parked the bus to save Hull further embarrassment?.
  • Wigan have problems behind the scene and it galvanises them
We have problems behind the scene and it's a potential excuse if we balls it up

Meh!!... They'll be full of confidence but no assurance that they'll beat us too

The fact they couldnt beat Barnsley says a lot for me

Hull on the other hand and I'm wondering how they've even got four points (?) since the restart, just how!!!

  • Fulham and West Brom draw. If Leeds beat Barnsley tomorrow, they'll be 5 points clear of 2nd with 2 games to go and 6 points clear of 3rd (assuming Brentford win). Thus they will be champions if they then beat Wayne Rooney County on Sunday
  • Have Wigan parked the bus to save Hull further embarrassment?.
No, they are saving themselves for Saturday.

    Though I can't think who they're playing.

  • Tomorrow is s**t or bust for us as I can't see anyway we will get anything from the Wigan and Leeds games.
  • Wigan hit the bar - Hull lucky it's not 0-8.
  • We can still do this.... Don't forget Wigan didn't have one single shot against Barnsley. Hull are awful but we must win tomorrow night... A draw will not do it.
  • Genius tweet really. There’s about fifty people jumping on the reply’s with their £2 stake for a few twitter likes because they’re a proper funny geezer.

Meanwhile, Paddy make a few quid off of their desperation for a popular tweet.
  • Hull have made all 5 subs by the 57th minute

Not sure what the manager will say to them though!
  • 8-0 here we go
