Crazy that two teams could get double-digit deductions and both stay up
Wigan and Wednesday, Hull and Barnsley still technically below us even after tonight and we also go above Huddersfield if they lose to Wednesday and we draw with Brum........all still to play for and a genuine chance that we can survive without winning against Wigan or Leeds.

God knows if Wednesday are still below us seeing that the EFL havent given any hint of what their punishment will be
Better for us if Weds beat Hudds so just a draw tomorrow puts 4 teams below us with just 2 to play......possibly 5 below us if Wigan are docked 12 points as expected.

Last rumour on Owlstalk was +12 points to help Wednesday with promotion push.
We can't keep relying other teams to dig us out the shit.
Sooner or later our forwards are going to have to find their shooting boots. If they don't, then we deserve everything we get.
Doesn't help when your managers lambasts you in public & says he would have subbed you at half time for missing a half chance.
Great confidence booster that.
Tbf, it wasn't a half chance, Bonne should have buried that. He didn't and it cost us massively.
You have to miss some to score some. I dont remember seeing Williams, McGeady, Cullen or JFC having a shot.
Agreed
So far this season Cullen has ONE goal, a penalty, Williams and McGeady none.
It says something that after Bonne the second highest scorer remaining is Sarr with 3, and after that Green, Pratley and Purrington with 2.
100% it’s a huge concern.
We lost Gallagher, Leko, and Taylor, all players I am sure would’ve got double figures with us if stayed or stayed fit.
But they’re not here anymore.
It’s why everyone else has to now show they’re worthy of not only playing for us, but in this league. They have to step up. There’s no excuses anymore.
It's also a mentality issue. Do we play to keep it tight, not taking risks and hoping to nick a goal, or do we attack in numbers, trying riskier passes to create something, taking more shots.
Cullen for example has just one goal, a penalty this season, but additionally he only has 3 assists, which is pretty low seeing that he takes most of our set plays. Surely he's good enough to contribute more in attacking areas?

At Championship level a striker needs to anticipate and concentrate.
You can't be a bit unsure and just hope to be lucky. It's no good moving towards a ball without conviction - you need to be on it and clinical. You've got to have scored in your mind before you even get your shot away.
Football is played firstly in the head - get the mentality right, the rest follows. This is what Bowyer is trying to press Bonne to get right.
You can't bollock a player into scoring goals, that comes with confidence.
We don't really know all that was said, only the bit Bowyer mentioned to the reporter.
I agree with you that football is a confidence game ...... but a player first has to put in the building blocks, get the foundations right.
If a player isn't doing that or not doing it consistantly then he's not going to score consistantly. Bowyer is trying to get the player to do the basics - the rest follows.
Bowyer talks of "tough love": last week he publicly praised Bonne with a well taken goal and performance for the team. This week he's critical. Bonne knows why.
Bowyer used to talk about sometimes needing to put an arm around Lyle Taylor - but then, Taylor always got his reading of the game, movement and application spot on. That's all that Bowyer is trying to instill in Bonne. And if Bonne does that, the goals will follow. And so will the praise from his manager.
