                  Phillips
    Deji.  Lockyer.  Pearce. Purrington
        Cullen. Kayal. Field
        Williams. Taylor. Leko.

just a guess on the potential starting line 2-1

Will be interesting to see who he picks in midfield and how they and the front 1 or 2 set up. Can’t see us using wingers, I think it’ll be a front 2 or Williams just behind Taylor again.

Field won't play because Bowyer said the lad is behind in his prep ?
Solly's experience will get the nod today, and I don't believe JFC will be dropped.

Gallagher and Leko will be involved but may be from the bench depending on what formation Lee goes with.

So many of our loanee's didn't play last week and the ex coach and manager in me asks the question are they match fit ?
I would rather the majority of new player prove their fitness against Forest Green.

Pratley, Lapslie and Morgan are fit so they should at least be in the 18 this week.

Disjointed game due to weather and two teams still trying to embed new signings (and for Stoke playing style).

1-1 draw which leaves Charlton fans and Bowyer disappointed.

Taylor scores and his critics decide he's got his head down and is OK.

Taylor doesn't score and his critics claim his body language proved he's uninterested, his head's gone and he should be sold.

    Philips
    Solly Lockyer Pearce Purrington
    Kayel
    Williams Cullen
    Aneke
    Leko Taylor

  • Blustery to put it mildly down here in Broadstairs ...

Expecting Leko to be a whirlwind down the right and Taylor to put the wind up Stoke and we will breeze to a 2-1 win.

Actually reckon 1-1 but you cant breeze to a draw.

    Quote from Lyle:

I watch the distant lights towards Brentford
    Disappear into the evening sky
Oh you know I'm with you on this journey
    Never could say goodbye

expect a 0-2 loss as Stoke get their game together, would be happy with a draw

Tough conditions for keepers with the strong wind.

Indeed the weather might be a leveller, dragging us down to Stoke's level

    Having seen the score predictions,
How weird and wonderful that so many people think our young talents on loan and League 1 winners are going to beat a team of players who have spent most of their careers in the premier or championship.

Heart and head should be separated when analysing games.(Metaphorically speaking)

We are playing Stoke City today not Port Vale.

The only winner may be the gusts so all rational predictions could blow away in the wind.

Aneke out would bring Gallagher into midfield and Williams in the 10. IMO

No where near. Official attendance might be 18-20k......people in the ground more like 15k-16k

I I agree, probably 18-20k. But surely not 15/20% less in the ground.

Gate will be 17,000, unless there is a big walk-up.

Some hilarity could ensue with this wind, hopefully not at our expense!

    Phillips
    Solly Lockyer Pearce Purrington
    Pratley Cullen Forster-Caskey
    Williams Gallagher
    Taylor

Amos Oshilaja Sarr Kayal Field Aneke Leko

Next week expect Pratley to fall out of the squad in favour of Hemed, but I feel none of the deadline day guys start.

Lots of ST holders away on holiday I suspect so actual attendance may be a good 20% lower than official.
  • Stoke have only scored 4 goals away from home in the Championship since January. Hopefully more of the same from them.
