This is very nice, but the station name would be useful as well.

Unfortunately what they've done there is pick a random pub near a tube stop and asked them what their cheapest pint is.

Plenty of these have a pub next door which is cheaper....

The elephant and castle for instance is right next to a spoons.

Essentially this tells us nothing. Shocking analysis.

Excellent point Canters. They've got the Shakespeares Head next to Holborn which is a 'spoons, but if that map was realistic it would basically be entirely dominated by Wetherspoons.

Not a lover of Wetherspoons, but they serve a purpose, particularly in places where everywhere else is a rip off.

Went to the Sports Bar in Canary Wharf for lunch today. £7.50 lunch menu, which is very good value. Unfortunately, the gain from that is completely wiped out by being charged £5.60 for a pint of Guinness.

When I worked at Sony in Great Marlborough Street, the Kings Arms, Poland Street (Oxford Circus Tube) was unbelievably cheap for a West End pub

Seems to be the pub nearest the station from my limited knowledge of one end of the northern line

If you arrive in High Barnet looking for a drink and go into a carvery instead of the beautiful and ancient pub on the other side of the road then you deserve to pay a fortune for a beer.
