In the grand scheme of things these tournaments mean very little as long as you play well.
Foden, Choudhry and Henderson all looked very good, and with 11 we’d have won that 2/3-0

And no that was an extremely poor France team... We tore them apart for most of the game, yes they got two pens but the first wasnt one for me - They certainly shouldnt put much hope in those kids winning them another World Cup0 -
It’s probably testament to how good our youngsters are that we won’t win this.

When you consider that TAA, Gomez, Chilwell, Rice, Alli, Sancho, Hudson-Odoi and Rashford are all eligible for this under 21 tournament, it's impressive that we can even still field a decent side at this competition.2 -

Bit of a harsh result but looked likely once we went down to 10, we needed to finish the chances off earlier.
I feel we might have won had we gone with Abraham or Calvert-Lewin, felt Solanke was off the pace slightly. Dembele should have had a few, wouldn't surprise me if he starts banging them in for the rest of the tourney.
Will be hard work now qualifying as best runner up, we need to hope no groups end up with 2 on 7, then need to score a few against both Romania + Croatia. 20% chance to go through now

That result has given England a bit of hope actually
England | Italy | Spain can now only get a maximum of six point so its important that we smash both Romania and Croatia to have the better Goal Difference
Only downside is that if Austria and Germany win today they'll both be on six points in their Group and play each other last... Shades of the 1982 World Cup where they can deliberately draw to ensure they each have seven points and so both qualify for the Semi-Finals0 -
Yup; Denmark beat Austria
Means second place can only be a team with six points... Means we need to beat Romania tonight and Croatia on Monday by impressive scorelines so we take second on Goal Difference and so qualify for the Semi-Finals
Win 3-0 tonight (KO is at 5:30) and we have the best GD out of all second place teams so far
If Wan-Bissaka had bloody left it for Henderson then we'd just need two wins regardless of scoreline to qualify
If we do finish second then its likely that we'll face Poland in the Semi-Finals0 -
In total we've played Romania U21 on five occasions since 2000
Results: 1-1 | 2-1 | 0-0 | 3-0 | 2-1
In the same time frame we've played Croatia U21 three times
Results: 0-3 | 2-1 | 2-10 -
Romania destroyed Croatia 4-1 so it'll be interesting to see if Romania are a dark horse or if Croatia are just really poor.1
