Miming "Starry Starry Night" and the tapes screwing up is still one of the funniest things I've seen.

Funnily enough was watching his version of "Vincent" last week where it kept going fast and slow. Was in tears. RIP

Loved Freddie Star, one of the most naturally funny comics we have produced, good singing voice as well.

Saw him twice live, absolute anarchy, there was a complete buzz around the theatre.

One of the funniest stories I heard about FS, was when he was living in a huge house in England, during his Valium addiction days.
Starr would get bored, so he would hang around on the country lane near his house and stop random motorists and say 'Can you give me a hand, I need a push' (insinuating that his car had broken down), he would then walk off at a brisk pace, followed by said motorist, Starr would lead him through the gates, past the house to the garden..........and get on a swing!

    RIP

I loved his ‘help me make it to though the night’ which he sung seriously and then trashed everything in the chorus.
  • I knew he was a big Elvis fan ... didn't know about his God.
