Long time listener to the Archers. Often frustrating but a feature of my Sunday mornings for many years. Joe Grundy was an anachronistic caricature back when I started listening in the kitchen in the summer holidays 1976 but still...RIP Ted Kelsey

    RIP Ted Kelsey.

I suspect that indeed it will have to be RIP 'Joe Grundy' too, given his 'age,' and the fact that Ted Kelsey will be such a hard act to follow in the role.

    The end of another era.

One of his best comments - on hearing that the awful Shula had been simultaneously romancing both Richard Locke the Doctor & Alistair Lloyd the Vet:

'Good job there isn't a dentist in the village'
