edited June 2007 in General Charlton
Just been to Park View Road and got my tickets for the game.

Apparently still a lot left although seating area expected to sell out soon.

  • anyone up for a splinter group to the Nags Head ?

I'm fed up having to wait 1/2hr for a pint in the Guy
  • New owners at the Guy so maybe more efficient. Anyway we normally get a few cans from the off licence next door to allow for waiting time ;-)

Problem with the Nags is that you cannot stand outside.
  • when is it chaps, i am too busy to scour the internet to look?

    thanks
  • wednesday 11th July
  • thanks stonemuse
  • I just moved to Welling, having supported my local team for many years (Charlton) should i now be considering a change?
  • lol

You can alternate - I also live in Welling and get to Park View Road 3 or 4 times a season. Makes a nice break from the Premiership / Championship.

  • Ok- being dim here- seating areas likely to sell out- what about standing- is it a gamble just to turn up on the night

Difficult to say - when it has been on a saturday , it sells out in advance. For a weekday, it's hard to tell.
  • the welling date should just be an annual regrouping of fans to mark the start of the season. the best way to enjoy it is turn up on the day and stay in the pub. the football match just gets in the way.
the ones i've actually seen have either depressed me on how we can't even compete against the wings or given me the insight to put christian bolanos in my dream team.
  • it never sells out, you can always buy on the door. I always do, and that night won't be any different.

as PBS said, its just a good meet up.
  • i'll be at Tooting and Mitcham that night my loalish
  • Tooting and Mitcham for me as well.No games for ages then 2 come at once.
