I’ve got a feeling the hold up was linked to something along the lines of Brighton releasing him so he can join us on a free... as an out of contract player the deadline wouldn’t countCafcSCP said:Wonder if the Hemed deal is permanent9 -
Was thinking the same. If so, imagine it would be announced tomorrow.DamoNorthStand said:

Hopefully along with Harriot (unless I missed something and he isn't still in contention to sign).
Having Harriott, Leko, and Williams in the squad allows us to play 4-3-3 with out-and-out wingers, or that 4-3-2-1 with Harriott and Williams narrow.1 -
1 Leko raw talent played wide but will be schooled by LT to fulfill KG role.
2. Field similar to Cullen and Gallagher but leftie and more experienced/better. Prem starts.
3. Kayal as above but with bells on. Captained Celtic 40+ caps.
4. Hemed awkward bastard, caps, one in three at a decent level.9 -
That would make sense. Who knows, maybe we paid a "loan fee" for Kayal to help smooth this dealDamoNorthStand said:

When Wankpuffin sells this club the new owners whoever they may be must keep Bowyer and Gallen.
Give these two the support there deserve and the sky is the limit.11 -
Someone mentioned/ quoted Bowyer has a phone call to make tomorrow morning! Maybe that’s itkillerandflash said:

How would we feel if Taylor actually wanted to go?0
-
Chuffed for our football club especially for Lee and Gallen.
Not sure where the money came from but what the hell, we are in a better position than I ever dreamed possible.
We do need the striker, hope he arrives.
Must buy my ticket for Saturday now !
Covered end upper, can't wait.

One thing I’m still amazed at is that RD was willing to spend the 4 Mil raised on the sale of Lyle immediately in Ivan Toney from Peterborough and his wages would have been pretty highly I would imagine . Bowyer and Gallen really do have the trust of RD and that’s a really good thing .
When RD came in he splashed the cash on mostly rubbish thanks to a kid playing Fifa in his bedroom but now he’s doing it with the right advice and experience and it feels good .

Their reputation continues to grow while we stagnate under yellow toof. Enjoy them while we can.blackpool72 said:When Wankpuffin sells this club the new owners whoever they may be must keep Bowyer and Gallen.

the other good thing about getting these 2 in from brighton is that they would surely be on decent wages and therefore hopefully we have broken our low wage structure and sorted LT out - hope this means we have him firing on all cylinders for Saturday as i know somebody said earlier on here he won't be playing due to all the 'comotion' this week. Be good if he is and we go out all guns blazing against stoke1

Got to be one of the sensible things I’ve ever seen you post. I don’t mean to sound so disrespectful with this either so I do apologise. It’s only because I feel you post some very strange things sometimes.harveys_gardener said:1 Leko raw talent played wide but will be schooled by LT to fulfill KG role.

Injuries and suspensions will deal with that pretty readily.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Cullen, Kayal, Hemed, Gallagher, Field and Leko.
I'd say the man left out is likely to be Gallagher.0 -
Taken from Wiki..
Kayal is a central midfielder but he is capable of performing various different roles within the position. He can play as a defensive midfielder, sitting in front of the back four and stifling the opposition or as a box-to-box midfielder, protecting the defenders as well as supporting the forwards. Although he is more renowned for his defensive capabilities than attacking, he is still able to contribute well to going forward.
Kayal is a tenacious, hard working midfielder, known for high stamina level, aggressive tackling and combative edge, he also has great passing ability and quick feet. Ex-Celtic and Israel midfielder Eyal Berkovic, described him as being: "Perfect for British football. He is strong technically, very aware but really competitive...He will have no problem adapting to the style in Scotland – he will love the speed and aggression.

Roland’s gonna have a heart attack when he sees what’s been going on today!
Do you reckon he’s away on holiday?17 -
Wow, what a day. I’ve permanently been around 20 pages behind and not wanting to skip and miss anything. Though I don’t know any of these players we’ve signed, i was confident this was going to be a positive few days for us and it’s looks like it’s turned out that way.
Sadly despite finishing at 9.30 I was nowhere near successful. Am bracing myself for impending ‘AFKA out’ abuse, ‘piss off you short wanker’ graffitied on my garage and potential disruption to the Saturday Sidcup local market. Val the Veg better keep a firm grip on her juicy pears...AFKABartram said:My last day in office before leave. I need to complete 5 pieces of work before 5pm, ideally 7 pieces. Can I get it over the line? Will those 7 pieces of work be of a good enough standard for the rest of the year? Will my best and most popular piece of work transfer to a colleague in my absence?
And all this on transfer deadline day....

Great transfer window better than we could ever have dreamed of think it's going to be interesting seeing how LB keeps everyone happy including parent clubs and if we can keep the team spirit we had last season

Sage, I'm just gutted we didn't sign Connor Gough and Nadir Ciftci.12

We will have competition.
Injuries will happen,
I have no idea which of these players will step up and who will struggle.
Should be fun finding out.

Worthy of a ban surely. Just don't know why anyone does it.Bedsaddick said:

Wow wow wow. What a window we've had. Full credit to Bowyer & Gallen for pulling off some fantastic signings. Dare I say it but credit to Douchebag too for backing the boys
Did I really just say that!6 -
I assume the programme this Saturday will include the handbook. A fair number of last minute additions will be needed!0
