Another Bonkers Statement from Roland - the "The EFL must buy the club" one
Comments

Really feels like the end game for Roland. Just hoping beyond hope it is not the end game for Charlton Athletic.20
-
So - he's saying that football isn't a sure fire way to make money?
Only taken him four years to figure that out though...
Fuck me what an absolute charlatan. I've never seen better proof that you do not need any skill to make money - just luck, a lack of scruples and being in the right place at the right time11 -
Unfortunatly I think we are im serious danger.Weegie Addick said:Really feels like the end game for Roland. Just hoping beyond hope it is not the end game for Charlton Athletic.
The EFL obviously will say they cant buy us so whats his next step to get rid.
Sell the land to some property developer and dissolve the club??1 -
Shaun Harvey just been seen leaving club shop with his free scarf

Reading that I'd say he got someone, possibly Rubashow, or perhaps someone on Roland's legal team, to write the first part (FFP etc).Charltonparklane said:Jesus wept
Who is this statement written by?
Someone must have to sign it off?
After that the style seems to change. I think he wrote that bit himself.
He then tells the comms team to publish, and they have no say in the matter.1 -
I disagree, we need a group of fans out there this weekend, keep the heat on him.Covered End said:I think we need to let the dust settle over the next few weeks and then consider a massive trip to St Truiden.
Like a thousand or more.
I'm more than willing to help financially if people have the time to spare.7 -
Dummy-spitting of the highest order.
The idea of an EFL acquisition has gone from one that was being "floated" at the Fans Forum to an outright demand in less than 24 hours. The man has clearly gone into a frenzied tailspin.
Duchatelet's level of self-righteous indignation over a bit of graffiti is, on any objective view, ridiculous when weighed against the concerted damage that he has inflicted (and continues to inflict) on our football club since January 2014. If only his toxic legacy could be swiftly removed with a bit of solvent - sadly, whenever he finally leaves, we shall have to live with it for a number of years.10 -
Bloody cold that night at that meeting, I was glad to get out into the street when it finished to warm up 😨.Airman Brown said:If everything was fine for the first two years, what were 400 Charlton fans doing in Woolwich at a meeting in February 2015? Swapping train numbers?7 -
Would the EFL pass the fit and proper person test?5

How long until he refuses to pay the bills? Refuses to pay the players and staff?

Jokes aside, could he just close the Club as a business and cease trading?0

All jokes aside, for RD to come out with this utter nonsense quite clearly shows that no other interested party is even remotely close to completing a deal. Which means LdT telling fans last night there were still 2-3 talking to him on a regular basis can only be complete rubbish.1

If we go into admin he loses everything, not gonna happen.benjest1989 said:How long until he refuses to pay the bills? Refuses to pay the players and staff?

Imagine this will disappear from the site soon. Didn't the last nonsense rant get deleted quite soon after being posted?I've read it three times and still can't believe this has been posted on our official site!2
-
absolutely brilliant - he has completely and utterly lost it.
Just goes to show that he hates confrontation on his own turf.
Also proves there are no real buyers out there at the price he is asking - something now has to give.3 -
Just read it.
HOLY FUCK
HOLY FUCK
HOLY FUCK
HOOOOOOOLYYYYY FUUUUUUUUCK!!5 -
But he isn't rational, is he?Stu_of_Kunming said:

We can only hope.0 -
Unless the fans can come up with the cash for the Ground themselves, isnt that what the ACV is there to stop?WestStandNeil said:

WOW! I suppose this is how you get when you are a millionaire and surrounded by "yes" men. His sense of self importance is staggering as is his lack of common sense. When his cage gets rattled he is unable to control himself and makes hilarious, insane outbursts. Just makes my day. More please.0

And also, I think there are issues with access to the site for heavy plant etc.ForeverAddickted said:

But he said he doesnt want money for the club just the ground and training ground so he is quoting those at £40M, can the fans get that I doubt itForeverAddickted said:

He actually said 'Fake News'. He's actually borrowing Trump phrases now.4
-
It causes a delay, RD can still decide to sell Whoever he wants, even if the 'fans' are the highest bidders。ForeverAddickted said:

I don't know what to say. My flabber is ghasted.
Maybe it's the beginning of the end game
But our mate Roly has really not done himself any favours there has he. None at all.1 -
