Who is the boss at Chelsea

Anyone watching the Carabao cup final will get this question

Sarri wanted Arrizabalaga to go off, he refused and Sarri backed down(although was very angry)

Never seen anything like that before

He was subbing him because of the ‘injury’

Kepa overruled it and I think that’s fair, guys stood out there for 120 minutes and deserves his chance to be the hero.

Probably just a break down in communication.

Sarri just lost any credibility he had imo
should never have backed down once he’d made his decision and the board went up
  • Beaten me too it mate

As I left my post... How can Sarri remain at Chelsea now? - Its now clear the players arent playing for him!!

I agree it was because of injury but still the manager has the final say surely and Kepa has just humilated his manager

Chelsea win this and it’s all laughs, Kepa lifts the trophy

lose and he might not play for Chelsea again. No pressure lad.
  • Bet the camera is going to stay on Kepa and Sarri for this period now lol!

Hope Kepa wins it for them now in a way
  • Its crazy because Sarri should now be motivating his players ahead of this shootout yet barely wants to know and hasnt said anything to them
  • Agree with @Laddick01 if City win then Kepa may not play again until Sarri Leaves

Caballero has a good record vs penalties, plus he knows a lot of City players well etc.
even without the injury seeing that sub wouldn’t have been a surprise.

Not speaking to Kepa is ridiculous though.

Sarri is really a terrible man manager

Win or lose, as long as Sarri is manager this season, Kepa should not even be on bench for rest of season.
  • Crazy, never seen anything quite like it in 30 odd years of watching football.
  • Oh dear god... Dont think Kepa can help them if thats the sort of penalty they're taking

Absolutely astonishing! There can be only one person in charge of the team - that's the manager.  So, if he says you're coming off, you're coming off.  I have never seen that before.  Lots of sympathy for Sarri.
  • Willy would have saved that

  • What was Kepa doing there... Aguero's penalty was as bad as Emerson's

Sterling’s penalty was class, he’s so good for city.
