Heard from a fairly reliable source that the Australians have passed the EFL tests and now just(?) the cost to be finally agreed - although thought that had been but that was what I was told
My contact at the EFL said that he was told there had been no further movement - though that was last week.
I will ask again tomorrow, but he's not happy with me at the moment as I suggested that as a Fulham fan he needed to be shamed for his teams abject performance over the weekend.

He’s bloody lucky he has a friend like you caring about his bowel movements. Not many blokes would delve that deep in conversation. And he’s in a dizzy about your Foolham comments. You are banged to rights pick him up. Tut...what’s this world coming too? ;o)

did he ever concede that his previous info which you passed on to us, that they had already passed the test in the autumn, turned out not to be the case?
Personally, and this is just me, and this isn’t a dig at anyone passing on info as I know we all just want this over and people are just sharing what they hear in hope and optimism, but I’m at the point where I’d rather hear nothing at all rumour wise anymore.
Over the last last few years there’s been too many false dawns however concrete they may have looked. There’s only one man that has the inside scoop and will know when it’s done, and he’s not going to be posting on here anytime soon.
Again, it’s not a dig at anyone, it’s more exasperation at the farce and how long it’s gone on. Imo we’d all just be better off completely ignoring everything rumour wise

As is the case with most info, he passed on what he had been told, without being able to get into specifics.
He contacted me first to say papers had been lodged and as far as the F&P test was concerned, this went through after some issues were resolved. He sticks by this.
It would appear that there is further scrutiny of owners outside of just this and I assume that is the hold up from what's been said by the EFL, LdT and others.
I've been told nothing further of any other progress, despite my nagging and his contract is supposed to expire in six weeks or so.
I do t understand all the Aussie bashing. We don’t know why it’s taken so long but my guess is that Roland isn’t the easiest person to deal with and that needs to be factored in.
Wasnt it posted on here that one of the main issues was that Roland didn’t undertake Due diligence and the Aussies unearthed a few problems during their own dd process from the previous owners that they wanted Roland to rectify?
the amount of fucking around the aussies as have done i dont think we will be any better
Make you right, if they can’t be arsed to sort this out, it does make you wonder what they would be like, if they ever did buy us.
Or an alternative take on it could be that if they have been interested for so long and are still not put off by old Wank Chops then it could demonstrate they have a clear vision of the future for the club and are tenacious, but are not prepared to pay over the odds or be held to ransom by the old goat. They have a plan and are sticking to it. That could be just the sort of owners we need. But who knows what they would be like.
Sometimes we all let our emotions get in the way, which is understandable as it’s OUR club. These guys don’t have that attachment - yet. But all this “the Aussies can do one” nonesense is just that. Nonsense.
We know old Shit for Shoes is as mad as a box of frogs. We don’t know a lot about these guys. But I would certainly be prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt over that Old Scroat, every day of the week - at least to start with.

You’re right in a way, but as soon as I see a new rumour thread like this one I’m on it, as I suspect we all are. It’s the hope that kills you and all that.
As to the timescale issue: yes the Aussies have been extremely slow, and of course that can make you think ‘would roman abramovich have fretted over a few million quid here and there?’ The answer is possibly not, but the fella who brokered that Chelsea deal is brokering this one, and if he says the Aussies will be good news for the club that’s got to be a positive sign.
And think about our last two owners; the Cash/Jimenez group were financially dubious to say the least (as we’ve seen in the courts recently), leading to legal problems (vis a vis who actually owns the club) that took an age for new buyers owners to sort out apparently. The second, who steamed in after a cursory DD, but was a relative financial behemoth, nonetheless brought the club to its knees through wilful mismanagement.
I’d say a painfully long drawn out but thorough process may be a price worth paying, if it leads to the club having some much needed stability.
Cue lots of replies saying they can’t even raise the asking price after two years? Well I still believe that they’ll only buy the club if they raise the finance for this ‘famous’ five year plan, which is certainly likely to be one of the reasons for the delays. That, and Roland being stubborn and difficult, according to KH.

When will this ever end?
