8 for me. I'm a southpaw/cackhanded wandering if there's correlation? One thing I've noticed from a couple of left handers of my acquaintance is that they do ticks backwards. The big bit then the little bit. They should be hung as witches.
Cheers mate. I'm not sure there is anything more interesting I can write on this thread to be honest!! "I write mine with an explosion at the end, then Kat Slater comes in and shouts 'YES I AM!!' before shooting JR."
I really couldn’t decide how I wrote the letter x at the time. As a consequence I decided to wait until the answer emerged naturally. I generally complete (or nearly complete) two crosswords a day, so I wouldn’t have to wait long … or so I thought.
The trouble is that this problem has somehow imprinted itself on my brain. As I go to write the letter x a trigger is set off and I become self conscious. My pen then hovers over the crossword as I decide which corner to attack. This is a total fail, the results have to be shredded and the problem shelved until the next time. I have on occasion written an x without any predetermined thoughts, but have then subsequently struggled with the slow motion replay in my head.
I actually believe that I can start a letter x from three different corners i.e. bl (6), tl (5) and tr (8 or 3 maybe). I have to say the jury is still out on that though. Thankfully I have eliminated 1,2,4 and 7, To start bl would be plain daft … wouldn’t it?

Was reading in Graphologist Weekly that anyone who isn’t an 8 is a sexual deviant.
1 - nobody
2 - 1 person
3 - 2 people
4 - 1 person
5 - 21 people
6 - 9 people
7 - 42 people
8 - 25 people
6 people mentioned using the mathematical x for lowercase too.
Odd! Never would have realised that without this thread.
Should be 5
sex'Bexley' in my best joined up handwriting. And in the middle of/end of a word, the x comes out as a 5.
Yet if I write in print form, it comes out as a 7.
Things I didn't know I needed to know.
I have genuinely grown to hate this thread.
