Met him once as a child at a seaside variety concert with my parents. Seemed very nice. RIP

My Dad did quite a good impression of him when I was a kid. "Now then, what have you got to say? SHUT YOUR MOUTH!"

Fine pair of shoulders. Show them off, show them off.

RIP Windsor, I'm sure I can hear the grass whispering.

I hope they start playing it ain't half hot mum again.

Its not pc these days, that would be the reason given I would imagine. :(
Agreed. .i loved it as a kid but they couldn’t possibly show it now what with indian characters and the poof jokes aimed at the Melvyn Hayes character.
    Good profile pic this one.

It was funny. But the poof jokes mostly consisted of him shouting "poofter! " at Melvin Hayes although beautifully undermined by his homoerotic obsession with one of the characters. I think the biggest objection would be Michael Bates blacking up as a Sikh...

Not just aimed at Melvin Hayes: "You is a load of poofs" was quite a common line.

I have the box set unopened at the moment. Maybe time to watch it.

    RIP Windsor.
