its not going to happen but it would get the fa out of a hole...i think most football fans think the fa blew it with west ham but the fa are unlikely to want to backtrack and be seen to be dictated to by sheff utd or trigger a subsequent appeal by whu...looking into the sheff utd situation at the same time and deciding that points should have been deducted for the 'offence' and that it had been committed by both clubs with the subsequent reinstatement of a non-controversial one in the form of charlton might be more palatable for the fa and more difficult for either of them to appeal against...
but what about when they look into our illegal approach for dowie they might make an example of us and relegate us to div.1.... i think we'd have a chance of going up from there (thru the play offs) ;-)
They won't want to get into the transfer thing with Sheff U. If they do, they'll have to say why it was OK for Man U to do the same with Howard and Everton. Or maybe they'll take some points away from Man U!
