Just seen BentD again

MCSMCS
edited October 2006 in General Charlton
I was just driving out of work (this side of blackwall tunnel) and i saw little bent riding down the pavement on his push bike, a proper chopper style one, not the one from the 70's with the high rising back seat rest, but a proper 'American chopper' jobbie, when i first saw him i just thought it was a kid, he was all over the place as if the wheel was buckled, so i rolled the window down, laughed and pointed, then i realised who it was, then i spazzed out like i did when i was next to him in his Aston.

He must think i am mentalist, every time he sees me i spaz out. Cheered me up no end.

He's more likely thinking he's got a stalker...

That comment has just folded me up!!
  • Nice work chaps, these posts made me laugh lol.

For the record he wasn't going through the blackwall tunnel, but about to go under it back toward his joint, which as rothko mentioned is the milleniam village.

Ps, lookout, that pic is quality!!
  • What time? cos he was in Othello's about 7pm on Friday night, my crystal palace mate text to tell me even she was all star struck!

poor darren i hope he doesnt read this board, he will get paranoid. He's certainly a local hero!!!

  • Half past 5 on the dot B, he was driving toward where he lives.

Othello's, is that the little Greek place opposite Arches leisure. If so, its a pukka little restraunt. Went there for Mortains birthday last year, and we had a legendary Scottish waiter bloke.
  • Yes but isn't it great that one of ours lives local and not in Waltham, Bromely or Purley.
  • yes shopping in blackheath, eating in greenwich, supporting local businesses.

good lad. i expect to see him in the Oak soon on a sunday night.
  • He does seem real top kid dont he. Could turn out to be a true Charlton great, lets hope so eh peeps.
  • through a relative, with a very dodgy link to darrent bent, i've heard that apparently he's not with his girlfriend anymore, she dumped him, and jermain defoe has been spending time with her instead!!

bet he's well peeved, keeps him out the england squad and then pinches his bird!
  • In the 15 or so years that I have lived in 'East Greenwich' (i.e. the cheap part) I have never once felt the urge to go into Othellos...and now I'm hearing that it is actually good...really?? I honestly think that (along with 'the Glass Wardrobe' that recently became a curry house) it is the only restaurant around here that I have never been in....
  • ive only eaten in there once a few years ago but that was very quickly to have a bit before i headed into town. but anyone i know goes in there loves the real home cooking.
  • Never been there myself, but I've heard good things about Othellos.

Nah, he'll be in Hardys quiz night before long.
  • Char Char, it is a lovely little place, nice and cosy. Well worth a visit IMO, the vine leaves are well nice.
