I found it strange the comments about Steers first couple of games mainly because the same nonsense was said about Amos at the beginning of last season.
Amos not good enough for Bolton ?
Steer not good enough for Villa ?
Both have been superb for Cafc.

He really wasn't that special in the early games IMO certainly not a lot to choose over Phillips. Not doubting that he has stepped up to the plate since and nailed down the keepers slot now. As for the scouting of him, the new goalkeeping coach Marshall? used to work with him at Villa and no doubt is responsible.0
