Complete and utter bell-end. Doing that ssshhhhhh thing to the cameras. Scoring is what you're supposed to do mate so drop the attitude!
His open goal miss was a classic though.
he was released from chelsea and went straight to Bristol City so god knows where you got this from.
Nothing wrong with him having a pop back IMHO and nothing wrong with a player having a bit of arrogance about him if he can back it up - which Lita can sometimes.
Lita signed his first professional contract when he was 18 at Bristol City.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm thinking that there probably aren't that many 'players' (no pun intended) in the international arms trade who are under tha age of eighteen...
Prior to that, he was in Chelsea's youth setup - so, unless he was training in Cobham during the mornings and negotiating the sale of crateloads of AK47s to Ugandan schoolchildren in the afternoons I think you've been wound up mate.
So, safe to say there is no reason to hate him on the grounds of any involvement in the shady world of arms dealing. He does appear, however, to be an arrogant little prick...
He grew up in Zaire (now the DR Congo) and lived through a civil war before he came to the UK when he was 5. That may be the connection with arms but I doubt he was dealing them at 5.

The ssssshhhhhh was aimed at all the people who sent him abusive text messages after the Czech game. Apparently his mobile phone number got given out by someone after his penalty miss and he got loads of abusive messages. He said he didn't respond to any of them and just wanted to prove them wrong in the next match, so fair play to him I say.
Regarding the arm dealer - I think something like that would have generated a lot more coverage in the papers if it was true. His profile on Wikipedia doesn't mention anything.
I doubt he'd have got to much abuse for the pen if he hadn't done a stupid walk/dance in his run up which made him look even more of a prat when he knocked it wide !!!

If you say this was a story in The Independent, then point to it - because I think the date might possible have been 01/04/07
