Who has played against us for the most different clubs

  • Steve Claridge must have played for a few clubs against us

Cambridge, Luton, Birmingham, Leicester, Pompey. Not sure about Millwall?
  • Clinton Morrison perhaps?
  • Seem to recall Leon Best showing up quite a lot. Pretty sure he played against us with more clubs than he actually made appearances for us as a player.

    Andy Cole
Man United, Fulham, Blackburn, Man City, Portsmouth, Burnley & Forest - 7 clubs

    Bristol City 92/93
Played for Arsenal reserves against us at Welling. Steve Brown had him in his pocket.

    Craig Bellamy
Coventry, Newcastle, Blackburn, Liverpool & Cardiff - 5 clubs

    Norwich?
Not sure - remember the 4-4 when Leaburn and the Pineapple brought us back from the dead after playing 80 minutes with ten men after Ooooh Sweaty Balmer got sent off for bringing down Darren Eadie - but can't remember if Bellamy played for them that day (he would have been young, maybe about 18?). I do remember one little shit trying to grab the ball off the keeper Petterson? Salmon? After they scored and having a row - sounds like the sort of thing Bellamy would have done...

I'm pretty sure Bellamy played that day

Back in the dark ages, before loans became common and players tended to stay put more, I believe Gordon Bolland played against us for Leyton Orient, Norwich and Millwall as well as playing for us.

I reckon he's up there as a (say) pre 1990 candidate.
  • I was going to say Ross McCormack, but he only played against us for 3 clubs. However, he probably scored every time he played against us.

Who has scored the most goals against us?

Ronnie Moore got a few. Maybe that's why we bought him!
  • Darren Purse?

  • Darren Purse?

    5 I think....

Oxford, Birmingham, West Brom, Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday
  • Darren Purse?

It'll be great to mention that to him when he signs in January with Hayden Mullins
  • Hesket? Leicester, Liverpool, Wigan, Villa, Birmingham, Bolton maybe not.
  • Les Ferdinand maybe? QPR, Newcastle, Spurs, West Ham, Leicester and Bolton (only played 14 times so not sure if one was against us)

Have no memory of John Terry scoring against us so will have to dig out the old dvds. Henry seems to score nearly every time probably more so at Highbury

Heskey did indeed play and score for Bolton twice against us? when we drew 2-2 in Lookman's breakthrough year.

I ment maybe not as I ran out of he clubs he played for haha
  • I recall seeing Luke Varney in a variety of shirts at the Valley, although tbh I don't know exactly which teams. He always seemed to be at about our level.

After leaving Charlton he played for Derby, Sheff Wed, Blackpool, Portsmouth, Leeds, Blackburn and Ipswich.
