Karkouri goes back to Qatar

Comments

  • "I depart with good memories from Charlton, but I am bored with European football anyway," El Karkouri told the Sun.

"I feel it is about time for me and my family to live in a country like Qatar."

For all his mis-haps and bad marking etc i really liked this bloke, his got a bit of character.

i wish him all the best in Qatar.
  • Jagshemash Talal

I'd give him a high five if i saw him before he left.
  • We'll miss Borat
  • As said, bit of a character and wish him well.

No good at defending though, lets hope he's better with a Qatar....

    Good one !
  • Thank fook for that.

Might have been a character, but he was shite and cost us far too many points this season.

Dowie and El Kak were the 2 biggest mistakes in 06/07

  • He gave us fair service for what we paid for him £1m wasn't it. Last season was not his best though was it !
  • He played a lot of duff games last year but he gave us entertainment which is something we have lacked over the past few years. No problems with him going though.

    Wish him all the best.

PS AFKA's joke has whooshed above my head!

Let's hope he's not too highly strung out there - or it will be a case of while 'my Qatar gently weeps'.
