Without Paul Allen (and Bill Gates) there, most likely, would have been no personal computers, maybe even the internet and no CL! Was a pioneer. RIP.

    Had been battling cancer for a long time. Seems to have been a decent man. RIP

    microsoft changed the game with windows 95 and internet explorer. Before then accessing the internet required you to have a bit of technical knowledge and purchasing a specialist internet browser, they're now all free.

    Heard he was a very good owner of the seattle sounders in the MLS as well, RIP.

    He always appeared to be a very decent and clever bloke. Non Hodgkins Lymphona was what got my old man earlier this year.

    The partner that Bill Gates loved so much .. he sacked him .. an example of investing in innovation making a man incredibly wealthy, but like the equally Midas rich Steve Jobs, a quite early death .. R I P
