A Friendly and knowledgeable voice who we first heard on BBC radio 35 years ago.
A top commentator and mimic (voice of Jimmy Greaves on spitting image)
Italian football was James Richardson as host and PB on the Mike.
A big Brighton fan who wrote for the local paper.

I made the tea/ coffee for him for a while back in Teddington Studios, when he sat in a tiny little sound booth commentating on European matches, pretending to be at the games. I'd be sitting in a kitchen awaiting orders, listening to the football on the radio, so I'd also give him score updates. He was a thoroughly likeable chap and I am glad I got to spend a few shifts in his company.
