Indigo @o2 - Bars

First visit this weekend, are there any proper bars inside, or just general concession bars?

TIA

Comments

  • There's a slug and lettuce pub inside, which is opposite the indigo club.
  • Thought this was going to be about a new chocalate bar. Doh!

I know the Slug & Lettuce, but I meant actually inside the Indigo venue
  • The Indigo is just one venue I believe so you can only use their bar. That is unless it has changed since March.

The bar inside can be a nightmare trying to get served. Only upside is the mirrors behind the bar mean you can carry on watching the band while you’re waiting 20 minutes to get served!

...to get served a ridiculously overpriced crap beer in a plastic glass.
  • The first time I went indigo we had no problem with the bar.
I have been back a number of times and have to say it’s been a nightmare getting served and on one occasion they only had one drought lager available from one tap.
For a circa 2000? capacity venue with a long bar, that was pathetic.
We now tend to pre-load in blackheath or Greenwich before going.

The Pilot pub is less than 10 mins walk from o2. There is no where worth drinking in the whole Arena.

Not meaning to be pedantic but I have to challenge that!

Depends on how fast you walk, surely?

It's a 5 minute walk if you run.

EDIT: According to Google it's a 9 minute walk so you were wrong in your challenge.

The last few times we've been to the O2, we've had beers around London Bridge/Borough.
You have so many good pubs to choose from and then just jump on the Jubilee Line 4 stops to North Greenwich (10 mins).

Careful BBW, you’ll start looking up train times next!
  • Meantime beer box outside on concourse public car parks side.

Longer if you run up the down escalator.
