Always felt a bit sorry for Kim Grant, i remeber when we beat Notts County 5 v 1 back in 93 and he missed a open goal with the whole off the covered end shouting off off off, curbs did just that as his confidence just vanished and curbs would not let the team clap the fans at the end of the game
I have spent a fair amount of time in Singapore and they are the most straight-laced people on the planet so this does not surprise me in the slightest.
I cannot believe that he has ended up there though! Last I heard he was in Yeovil.....
Of course, its also quite likely that the club were looking for a reason to get rid of him.

Always be remembered for that
Kim Grant - Legend......just for that result
In the snow, orange ball, 10 men, jumpers for goalposts!- got the match ticket signed by Mr Grant and the programme signed by the whole squad on my wall.
I remember his name being read out as starting, circa 1995 and my old man muttering. 'He couldn't be better named if he was called Kim completely and utterly f*cking useless'.
I told him not to be so harsh. Then over the course of the next 70 or so minutes proved to me why my dear old dad felt that way.
Great goals however against Sheff Wed, Liverpool away, Millwall and I remember him scoring a good un against Notts County or Pompey. Can't remember which but it was a nice goal.
Clean through, one on one with Peter Schmeichel (sp) in the Cup Quarterfinal at OT.
Schmeichel comes charging out of his box and wallop, Granty is spinning through the air, landing in a crumpled heap.
Schmeichs looks like he's going to deck the referee as the red card is waved under his nose but eventually walks.
If only Schmeical had known that Granty would never have scored in a month of Sundays......
He scored a great goal up at Barnsley in 91. Seem to remember him running from the halfway line, beat at least 3 players and then rounded the kepper, to score.
Barnsley 91 did happen like that, although I think he did his best to miss. That was just 3 days after his debut goal match winner at home to Wolves. So it was 2 in 2, and then downhill from there......unless he was playing with an orange ball.
There's been a Kim Grant sighting here in sunny Somerset - He's having a trial for Conference National newcomers Salisbury City, in todays game at Weston super Mare.
If I'd have known that he'd be playing before today, I'd have gone down there and asked him to sign my 92/93, white away kit (the one without a sponsor that was made by Ribeiro). I'm gutted.

He came on at half time, and lasted a whopping 4 minutes before going off injured..

I tell you what mate you aint half a negative ********** . They havnt even pulled a shirt on and your taking the rise.... now admitedly we all cracked last year when we were in the #### big time managerless and with the team at an all time low, but this is a new beginning and Pards is building his own charlton side and were gonna go for it...
So why not try getting behind the team instead of spreading negativity about a strike force that so far havnt kicked a ball in a Charlton shirt....
thats why I think your on the rise half the time cause for a charlton supporter you dont half slate your own team...
Ledge - I look forward to it. I hope its home made though, none of this shop bought rubbish ;-)
Oggy - MOTD offered me a position, but there wasn't enough money in it.
Mascot - I'm glad you're up for it. I'm glad everyone else is up for it. But I can't get excited about watching some of the drivel thats going to be served up next year.

Could even have been Grimsby. Or Port Vale.
Or Swindon.
I'll get my coat

I could be wrong though.
Very true. Both undeniably talented yet promised far more than they ever delivered.

(Sorry Granty - a bit harsh).

Hey, Cunny, why don't you get a job on Match of the Day?
If Lawro chokes on his verbal vomit, they'll be looking for another pundit on their Muppet Show. ;-)
