Staff strike on Saturday? Gets the match postponed, more embarrassment for Roland and helps Lee Bowyer, as a few players will be back from injury for the re-arranged fixture.33
-
Wonder if a fine from the EFL to Roland for not fulfilling a fixture would cost more than paying the bonuses?16

I have a horrid feeling that a strike would cause us to forfeit the game. Hope I am wrong.bristoladdick said:Staff strike on Saturday? Gets the match postponed, more embarrassment for Roland and helps Lee Bowyer, as a few players will be back from injury for the re-arranged fixture.

Feel really sorry for all the staff affected by this, and the tone and lack of empathy in that message says it all.
And if it is not directly from him - and someone in a more senior position has tried to humanise it - then it is a really piss poor effort.
And it must really hack people off that they are paying for the mistakes of others (such as our glorious former CEO) and the non League One salaries no doubt paid to some of the playing squad over the past few years.2 -
Be interested to see the response from those affected. The whole piece about the financial situation and cost cutting is embarrassing. I wonder what the savings would've been had we not
Paid an incompetent CEO a 6 figure salary for 3 years
Spunked what we did on agents in the 4 years he's been running the club
Had 7 managers we had to presumably pay some compensation to after sacking
Not spent money on a raft of shit players
Ran the club alongside the tradition and values that we have been historically known by, therefore alienating X number of fans and the loss in revenue as a result
Utterly clueless and this cost cutting, and financial situation is mainly his incompetence, yet again, like the takeover, he wants someone else to pay for it37 -
Difficult to say, wasnt there talk of that Blackpool v Huddersfield game being postponed at the end of the season once yet couldnt because all the players were going on HolidayCovered_End_Lad said:

But it might be worth it if it brings things to a head. Roland has failed in his experiment and is lashing out at all and sundry. The gloves should be truly off now between the staff/fans and Duchetalet.20

imo it's too well worded, no grammatical issues, reads properly and written by an English speaker. And the lack of huh's gives it away.AllLeftFoot said:Feel really sorry for all the staff affected by this, and the tone and lack of empathy in that message says it all.

'Please raise to your line manage or HR'
Really feel for the staff on this, I hope the statement says, '{...} We're coming for you, we're coming for you, Roland you cheapskate, we're coming for you'........ in court of course.0 -
Think of the way the press would react to this !superchrissypowell said:Is there any money left in the CARD fund to.pay some of the bonuses to the staff?
Great coverage for sure with the fans that have long fought to escape from the owner's shackles, now being seen to effectively pay the football club's staff !
How would our billionaire Belgian slither his way out of that embarrassment ?1 - Sponsored links:

Only the Mail and SLP appear to have covered the whole incident to date1 -
So what if it does? We're destined for mid-table and there's a bigger picture here than three points.Covered_End_Lad said:

This is a total disgrace, yet silence from the EFL. If this was the players bonuses they wouldn't be so silent5

Lower the asking price of the club and you will sell, then go and have sex with yourself4

Strike action by the offended staff would be unanimously supported by the fans.
This Saturday is probably too soon, they'll need to present their case and their suggested remedy, have the wankstain refuse to budge and then for them to present their ultimatum. The Wycombe game on 8 September could be ideal, providing plenty of time to stoke up media interest.4 -
I can understand people still wanting to go & watch games (although I'm just into my third season of boycotting after 53years of supporting CAFC) what I don't get is people throwing their cash over the bars before, at halftime & after a game & justify it by claiming that it's only a few pints & will make no difference. Well as we've seen recently with the withdrawal of breakfasts & bottled water for the under 23s, the meetings without lighting etc, it DOES make a difference, even an ostrich would see that.blackpool72 said:
Totally agree with your reasoning.PeterGage said:
It absolutely beggars belief that people still go to the home games and thus put money into RDs pocket. What will it take for them to wake up and smell the coffee.Henry Irving said:

Slightly off topic and not sure if it has been mentioned before but it was alleged to me at the weekend that following the stop go works at the training ground and serious problems with Foots Cray Rugby Club's car park, writs had been served on the club in the absence of remedial works. So sounds like it's far from plain sailing for a certain individual at the moment.oohaahmortimer said:I reckon Roly has clearly asked for financial cuts to be made at any cost even if it does involve the staff themselves and for that you ask a crawly bum licker filthy pond life slime ball to carry out this filthy act, can anyone think of one .
hardeasy to believe
How irresponsible you are to keep this out in the open.
2. The matter isn't about individual's personal finances, unlike yours
3. Move on
But breaking a lifetime habit that in some cases has been in excess of 50 or 60 years is very hard to do.
Personally I have been supporting this club home and away since 1967.
But this will be my last season if Roland is still here next season.26 -

“The club makes a very significant operating loss every month which is out of proportion with the occasional player sales revenue intended to offset these operating losses. Various parties interested in taking over have been put off by the high running costs. This is a matter of restoring the financial health of the club, which had got out of control for a League One club."
As is often the case with takeovers, the buyers have told the owner to cut costs so they do not have to, thus avoiding starting off in a negative way.
I suspect this cost cutting programme has come from the Australians.0 -
seeing a lot of tweets mentioning a strike. I for one would support it as it would be more effective and hard hitting than fans boycotting and more likely to create a bigger impact. Would have to be announced asap to save the Fleetwood fans travelling down. Not sure what people's thoughts are but if there are enough brave individuals in that group that have been dicked over, and would walk out, they would have my total respect and admiration.
Mindful though that this whole thing is more about them as employees than us as fans and our thing with Roland.14 -

Guess we should find out because if that’s what the Belgians are implying then you would expect the Aussies to refute that as that would be a crap way to announce themselves. If it’s true then I don’t know what to say.Southbank said:“The club makes a very significant operating loss every month which is out of proportion with the occasional player sales revenue intended to offset these operating losses. Hate to say it but how do we create maximum disruption by ensuring the game gets called off before the Fleetwood fans / players get down herecabbles said:seeing a lot of tweets mentioning a strike. If we do ensure its called off before Saturday its just going to be a easier job for the EFL to get it re-arranged and give them less work to do
A last minute postponement on the other hand would be more of a hinderance as Fleetwood would no doubt be having a go the EFL for letting this happen in the first place - i.e. Havent people on here said that they ran into the Fleetwood Chairman at the Valley and up there last season and was a really nice bloke?0 -
No surprise there then...0
