This is a story far from SE London but is a result of a policy driven by the Government to rid the UK of small surgeries, that a larger GP practice (A private business) have taken over a smaller one 10 miles away. The two surgeries are 10 miles apart with just one bus a week between the two communities.
The closure of small surgeries might make sense in suburbia but it will cause unnecessary deaths in rural areas.
