If you could own any car what would it be?

Practicality aside and money no object what would your dream car be?

It would have to be a Lancia for me - would probably fall to bits but they're the cars I loved as a kid.

Lancia Delta Integrale would probably be my choice.

But I would settle for a 60s Lamborghini Miura!

    Lotus Cortina Mk2

    Mk 1 surely - the Mk 2 wasn't a proper Lotus.

Used to be a guy in Crofton Park who owned one - always stood out around Lewisham.

    Yes they are.

Friend of mine is or was selling an Old English White XK120 DHC and a Mk 1 Lotus Cortina - both concours.

If only I could have convinced the missus!

I don't drive and have never really had an interest in cars but I'd go for the DB5 from Goldfinger.

What colour is the Cortina? Remember them in white with a green stripe down the side.

Yes white and green. He wanted £150k for the Jag and £120k for the Cortina - but they are immaculate - showroom condition. The Lotus also has some racing history.
