I'm sure that there will be Lifers that would find this of interest.
The House History Project has been created in order to encourage everybody to share their memories, documents and images of house histories. The UK, has a great tradition of magnificent buildings that were built by the great and good, or indeed, the not so good. These buildings are usually maintained well and have a huge amount of documentation about work carried out and occupants over the years. It's rare that humble buildings will have much documentation or record of occupants beyond the Census or voting register.
The vast majority of us live in humble buildings that still have the potential to tell interesting, fascinating or tragic stories that deserve be recorded for future generations. Virtually all adults will be in possession of documents, photographs or simple memories that form a vital piece of the vast jigsaw that is the heritage of the UK.
As a nation, we are more than just the power brokers, the beknighted and the Royals that fill our history books. It's hoped that people will rummage through their old photos and paperwork and send copies that are relevant to their past lives. Millions of potentially invaluable documents and photographs have been destroyed over the years and continue to be thrown out for the want of being identified before the owner losses the capacity to index them for whatever reason. Please sort out your old images etc and make use of them as soon as you have the time.
How many of us have tried to research the history of our homes? Wouldn't it be great if you were to receive information and images of your home from or about past occupants? The ultimate goal of this Project is to get as many people as possible to create a file of their research on the building that they live in and to pass it on to the new occupants who can add to the information.
Check your old files now and send copies on to your past homes and share the Facebook page to encourage as many people as possible to do the same.

There was also an old notebook dated from the 40's with a tally of bottles of booze sold to the neighbours.
