--------------- Pickford
-- Alderweireld Varane Maguire
Trippier--- Modric Kante ---Laxalt
------ Hazard Kane Mbappe

CB-Maguire
CB-Varane
CB-Godin
LWB-Hernandez
CM-Kante
CM-Modric
CAM-Hazard
ATT-Mbappe
ATT-Kane
Wanted to put Lukaku in but couldnt take out Kane1 -

Not sure about Kane as he faded when we needed him most. Trippier and Maguire should be shoe-ins.2
-
I'm going with Southgate's 3-5-2
Pickford
Varane
Maguire
Umtiti
Trippier
Modric
Kante
Hazard
Hernandez
Mbappe
Griezmann
Bench:
Pavard
Courtois
De Bruyne
Coutinho
Perisic
Ronaldo
Manager: Deschamps0 -
99% sure he was injured... with some luck we will have a 2nd lethal striker by 2020. Or at least someone thats half competant at this level. When a teams goals pretty much all come from set plays, it doesnt take long to get found out. The love train was pointless in the end... Maguire was the target literally every time.MuttleyCAFC said:Not sure about Kane as he faded when we needed him most. Trippier and Maguire should be shoe-ins.

Stones was as every bit as good as Maguire IMO, but Maguire is getting the plaudits because of expectation/reputation.2

Maguire brought the ball out really well also. He went on a couple of rampaging runs, whereas Stones never really did thatcafcfan1990 said:Stones was as every bit as good as Maguire IMO, but Maguire is getting the plaudits because of expectation/reputation.

Kjaer (along with Schmeichel) was the reason why Denmark made it out of the group stages (and almost beat Croatia). Prior to the tournament, everyone in Denmark expected our performance to rely on how Eriksen played. He didn't impress.Stig said:I tried to pick a squad of 32 based on one player for each team. I didn't quite finish it, but this is the sort of squad I'd like to bring to Charlton if I had unlimited cash (unfortunately, I haven't):

Therefore, I would add Kjaer to the bench.2 -
One could make a case for replacing about 50% of them but I'd be happy with that as a first team to beat Real Madrid in a European Cup final. With that midfield and those wingbacks, Kane would get a hat-trick every game.paulie8290 said:Actual 11 of the tournemant would look something like this.

True, but I thought overall Stones was the slightly better defender. Regardless, both had very good tournaments and I hope they continue to kick on.killerandflash said:

Don't they have a team of technical experts to choose the team?Stig said:
