Born in Woolwich in 1944, died from cancer 12/6/18
A versatile drummer/musician maligned or admired depending on ones' point of view for his jazz/rock syntheses .. I regularly saw him play with various bands and groups including the neglected, innovative 'Colosseum'.
His gigs and him personally were always good value. He was a very good drummer with a hammer or butterfly touch depending on what the music required.
He was much admired by Andrew Lloyd Webber and became his drummer of choice, proof of Hiseman's love of all kinds of music and of his versatility
Never a superstar but always admired and respected by the discerning few .. rest in peace Jon

And my sister saw Colloseum at the first ever Glastonbury, and remembers a long drum solo.
