I agree with jimmy 100%. I often say to my young nephew when ex players are returning resist temptation and don't boo or clap them until after the match, because you either fire them up by booing or make them feel good by clapping. Whereas nobody likes to feel forgotten or irrelevant. Least of all someone like Vile Traitor..Athletico Charlton said:
It would be the wise thing to do in terms of getting the least out of him but the flip side is that footy is a bit like panto and the baiting by each side could be seen as entertainment in itself.jimmymelrose said:
If we did, the best thing to do would be to ignore him and if he scored just turn our backs to the pitch in silence.4Real said:The 'bloke' is a shit stain and we need to draw Forest at home in the 3rd Round of The FA Cup.
He would just hate being ignored and treated as irrelevant.
No booing, no songs about him - nothing. Of course we have too many oaths as stupid as he is to actually come together to do this successfully.1 -

We spent 8 years booing Jermaine Defoe, and he spent 8 years banging against us.4Real said:The 'bloke' is a shit stain and we need to draw Forest at home in the 3rd Round of The FA Cup.7 -
If Taylor plays at the Valley, i will boo him all game2
-
100% he will get pelters and 100% he will score against us whenever we plays at The Valley again.11

Love him or loathe him, Taylor's ongoing presence on CL continues to provide some quality entertainment.
Whether it be at hero or pantomime villain level.
Just saying...0 -
He probably gets talked about more than many of our current players.RickAddick said:Love him or loathe him, Taylor's ongoing presence on CL continues to provide some quality entertainment.

One good thing I will say about his time here… he took awesome penalties. Did he ever miss one?0

I wish nothing more than to see him pathetically fail at the valley. But booing him will only make him play better.cafcsinger said:If Taylor plays at the Valley, i will boo him all game4 -
…..and he would have sulked around for 90mins as a classic non-trier.ricky_otto said:
The thing is he was under contract for 3 more games.Valiantphil said:We had lots of opportunities to offer him a deal to stay. We didn’t.We will never know if he would have kept us up, by playing and protecting himself from injury prior to a new club.Moral of the story - don’t let contracts run down for players you think are decent. The mistake was in Jan, not June.0 -
He was the closest we’ve had to Super Clive, since the man himself.cafctom said:

Probably from a shithouse penaltyCAFCTrev said:100% he will get pelters and 100% he will score against us whenever we plays at The Valley again.1 -
It does sound like that admittedly, but I was referring to a minority of just a few dozen who could spoil a coordinated attempt of thousands.Dave2l said:jimmymelrose said:

Bit harsh on the fan base.
If the ref blows whistle and points to the spot at the covered end for Nottingham forest penalty
Taylor does his crappy walk and misses...
I think our fanbase will rather enjoy that moment.
Obviously, the opposite would probably happen, he would score and purposely celebrate Infront of our fans
Just think how cool it would be though really. He could score a penalty, give it large to the fans and be completely ignored. Imagine that on TV!

Yes, sorry. Apparently oaves was correct up until the 19th Century, but never oaths.SuedeAdidas said:

Can't imagine Taylor joining us in the away end anytime soon. Would get lynched.3

Lyle Taylor is a spineless Cnut for what he done - he makes me laugh goes on about mk yet let a club that loved him get relegated if he had played in the 3 games until end of his contract I would of had no qualms - but he didn’t.7

I think it was 9 games he refused to play in?palarsehater said:Lyle Taylor is a spineless Cnut for what he done - he makes me laugh goes on about mk yet let a club that loved him get relegated if he had played in the 3 games until end of his contract I would of had no qualms - but he didn’t.
I wonder if we actually paid him for not playing, would make it even worse!1 -
For someone that doesn't even like football he sure does watch and talk about it a lot.
Bell.14 -
Not really interesting Sky or any of the media while he's parked on the bench, so now fetching for attention.2

contractually he was required to play in the 3 games as they were up until the end of june from memory, the other 6 we would of liked him to but was up to him. we got relegated by a point due to a barnsley last min draw at brentford, anyone who watched the cardiff game - if he was playing we would of won we battered them and didnt score.Mendonca In Asdas said:

The Reading game has always hurt the most - Aneke scored that goal which wasn't offside, and then the referee ignored the penalty shout on Forster-Caskey despite it being the exact same foul that Deji got penalised for their penalty.palarsehater said:

Reckon we'd have gotten more out of the Birmingham / Wigan games as well - Taylor was a bit like Stockley where he was just as much of a threat for us defending in our box when required.
Hell maybe we would have even despatched Brentford had he played, as we could have been 3-0 up by the time they made it 1-1 as for all their possession, we'd had the clearest opportunities.
