Think he’s going to regret that. Can’t see any broadcaster touching him with a barge pole now.
Sounds like the comments of someone who’s had a few too many to be honest.
Had 1 to many or having a bad day.
Now dont get me wrong I aint claiming to know everything cos I dont its all new to me(even tho they are now saying I have probably had EUPD for about 12/13 years and it has just been diagnosed, they think its why I started betting at 17) and If it is what I think I am not saying its a excuse.
Anyway Stan has some well documented Mental Health issues that are pretty serious.
Trust me when you are having a bad day or few days you are not you(speaking as someone who has lost over half his family cos of things said on bad days) Its hard to explain but nothing seems the same as before everything is bad and you dont feel like yourself, its like someone has taken over your body(some of the arguments on here I have had are during bad days)
I can tell you now if this is the reason then tomorrow or tuesday or whenever he feels back to being Stan again he will be on the phone to Ian straight away, its a horrible feeling to have.
Collymore! Man of very mixed racial background, claims his blackness. Then insults an Englishman who is actually Black and an all round decent bloke. Crawl back under your stone Collymore you pathetic whining racist, woman beating arsehole.
To be fair, Wright is working for the overtly racist Sun.
I like Wrighty, but he should know better. It's not like he's hard up and has to take whatever work comes along.
Having said that RT isn't exactly without critics.
How patronising. I’m fairly sure that Ian knows more than most the racial credentials of the Sun and it’s employees, considering he’s working for them.
If the Sun truly were “overtly racist’ they’d have fallen foul of the many regulations and guidelines that are no doubt in place to cover such issues.
You thinking they’re racist, does not mean they actually are.
Littlejohn? Hopkins? That story about '1 in 5 Muslims' that they had to apologise for because it was 'significantly misleading'? (Though of course not on the front pages where they put the original story.)

Do me a favour.
I’ve not read anything from Littlejohn in a while but when I have previously, I’ve agreed with plenty of what he’s said. I guess I’m a racist too? Some of the people I’ve employed in my team at work would find that hilarious.
Hopkins is an idiot no doubt, but again I’ve agreed with some things she’s said down the years.
Newspaper in misleading story/headline shocker. I’ve also seen them and their columnists write absolute tosh about England fans too and a million and one other things. Funnily enough you never see an apology full stop for the bullshit they write about England fans. Probably cos people aren’t queuing up to be offended on our behalf.
They may have some racists working for them, who knows. Every company on the planet may have, but to suggest the organisation is racist and Wright should know better than to work for them is ridiculous. They probably have plenty of black employees in an organisation that big - are they are wrong and should all know better?
A few comments about Collymore's mental health condition. Calling someone an "Uncle Tom" is not a side effect of depression. It does not help mental health stigma if every time someone who is open about their mental health conditions says something controversial or outlandish we all become armchair psychiatrists and accuse them of being "off their meds" or somehow having mental health problems.
Speaking from personal experience, sometimes depression causes you to say things you later regret. A lot of the time, it's just your personality like it is for everyone else.

That’s right you tell Ian Wright, a black man, who he should and should not work for, who does he think he is stepping out of line like that and not following the liberal code of conduct.
To be fair, Wright is working for the overtly racist Sun.

I love how you've started that sentence with "to be fair". As if what your opinion of the Sun is should in any way excuse Collymore for saying what he has said.
Yes, Collymore has had his mental health issues, but let's not also just allow him off the hook for saying what he has said.
If he wants to know the reason why broadcasters won't touch him, it is because of scummy behaviour like that, nothing else.
Having read Collymore's book - which must be at least ten years ago - there can be little doubt that he is a very complicated and confused soul, a modern day Jekyl and Hyde as it were.
In some parts of the story he comes across a half decent guy, aware of his flaws and failures, and the affect that his behaviour has on those around him.
Then at other times, he can come across as a complete and utter arsehole - for instance giving detailed accounts of his sexual conduct with Roy Evans daughter, and I think Kirsty Gallagher - which is totally unneccessary, and can only bring hurt to others.
Not convinced that the end of Stan's story is going to be a happy one.

You dont see anything wrong with a white man trying to decide who a black man can or cannot work for? Only seeing overy racism coming from one place right now.

That’s not to say they’re not generally scummy.

But collymore calling wrighty an Uncle Tom is imo a Racist remark as much as the N word
Collymore Has issues and I reckon this is a played in public one of his mental health moments
If not then the man is just a racist cnut himself

He's always bought The Guardian.
Stan collymore I did appreciate what he done for England fans in Marseille last year other than that I don’t know much about him.
