    Certainly looks combative
    24 years old
    Only 5'10" though

    GRANT DAWSON
"THE PROPHET" ....... will even know before he signs whether we will be promoted.
  • Ha! Thought so.
  • fecking typical......arguing over 2 different players who I would guess are 99.9% certain not turning up at Sparrows Lane next week.

@ShootersHillGuru I’ll have a think and get back to you

Haha, I've been talking about Dawson.

    As was I

  • We won't sign either of them

Lewis McGugan, Jem Karacan are two players we could look at who are out of contract. Albeit not exactly the type or sort we are talking about.

Jan Kirchhoff is a defensive midfielder who is also out of contract that we could again look at.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t be signing Anthony Grant, I am just saying I think we should make sure we have a proper look elsewhere.

There are some players out there with better quality that we could potentially sign.

    Are you a scout?

We do not know budget/ who is in control at the mo so its hard to judge who we should be looking at.
    No, not a scout.

Lee Bowyer and Gallen will have a wide range of players on a list that we think would make us a stronger team. We may not know the budget, which is exactly why I mentioned players out of contract and not those who could demand a fee.

Did anyone on here think we would sign even Lyle Taylor?

Don’t think so. @Redhenry said Dawson came first in the running at training. He then clarified he meant at Bury.
  • Bowyer said we will only bring in players better than what we've got (or words to that effect) - Grant and Dawson, in my opinion, don't fall into that category ...
  • Ffs if a player turns us down to go to Coventry then we must be a basket case...... admittedly it could be he wants to stay closer to home but still - very disappointing

Lyle Taylor turned down Sunderland. Swings and roundabouts comes to mind

Given the quotes about Lyle Taylor have been “he’s a number 9” you’d think Magennis would have got a hint

  • Just to show how far we have fallen and how crazy the transfer market is.... my Wolves friends says that they might make a bid for Ronaldo. Supposedly £90M. They have the money, the space, and are already well on the way to becoming a Portuguese squad.

They’d need his agent in their pocket

But he’ll be back at Man U if he came back

  • He's off to Juve
