Must admit, i doff my hat (if i had one) to some of the experiences that you people have had, wow, Buddy Holly,Led Zep,Beatles,Kinks and all the rest.

best - Stones (although i wasnt particularly a Stones fan) Wembley circa 98? Voodoo Lounge ? Absolutely brilliant.

Worst - Bowie (yet i was , and still am a huge Bowie fan) at Wembley Arena circa 96 , where he was appalling, and retired to the bar, with what seemed like half of everybody else. And then Stones at Twickenham circa 2003/4 - where they could have put a CD on of their greatest hits and it would have been better.

I saw John Ottway at the Tramshed, might have been a bit later than 88 though. A brilliant night.

Absolutely worst ever was a Dire Straits tribute band that used an alto sax instead of a guitar for all of Mark Knopfler’s solos!
    Go figure.
One of the best gigs I'd ever been to was Dire Straits at the old Albany Empire in 1978(?) before it burnt down.

One of the worst was Dire Straits at Lewisham Odeon a year or so later,  Mark Knopfler was high or pissed or both.

The worst I ever attended was when the first Mrs Isawsummersplay dragged me to somewhere in Catford to see David Soul and the Brotherhood of Man. Even now, I can't believe that I agreed to go. It was so bad, it was laughable.
