    That Camay did the job though. A very beautiful lady way into older age.

    Ps my reference to Camay will only make sense to anyone over about 55

    My Dad (sadly a departed Charlton fan) used to tell a lovely story about her when he was a butcher at Harrods. She would come in and order a single lamb chop - for delivery - just so the neighbours could see the Harrods van pull up outside her house. Was a lovely, friendly lady, apparently. RIP.

    RIP. My memory could be playing tricks but amongst her many TV accomplishments I think she advertised Oxo gravy back in the sixties as part of a family set up rather like the late Lynda Bellingham some years later with Bisto.

    The mum character in the Oxo ads in the 60s was called Katie, but was played by Mary Holland.

    Katie Boyle for me will always be the Camay lady.
