Wll based on the form of the current Championship Clubs from Jan 1 to the end of season ( and only Sunderland, Derby , wolves and WBA out performed Palace in that period.) i think that the table with the inlcusion of Watford, Sheff u and some other mob ;-)

I fancy watford to bounce back, despite finishing bottom it must be remembered they played virtually the entire season without Marlon King, who is far and away there main source of goals and was the top scorer in the Championship in there promotion season.(where would CAFC have finished without Darren Bent for the entire season?)

Sheff Utd tricky one to call as so much of there energy came from Warnock, but they have a squad which is more suited to slugging it out in the Championship than the finese of the Prem, so I'll have them in the top six.

Charlton, this could be a rude awakening to some of your players and with the real quality in Carson already gone and D Bent likely to follow, I really think you must keep hold of players like Matt Holland to steady the ship when needed.

Anyway my top 10 would be.

    1. Watford
    2. Wolves
    3. Sheff Utd
    4. West Brom
    5. Palace
    6. Stoke City ( play -0ff winners)
    7. Southampton
    8. Charlton
    9. Sheff Wed
    10. Cardiff City

    I am off course biased!
  • I dont know about you being biased, but I would wager good money that you are spotty, with glasses, impotent and a mummys boy.

Where do I collect my winnings?

  • I think Nigel has been skipping his medication again.
  • i can't understand why everyone thinks sheffield united are going to do so well

jagielka will go and they've got relegation robson, it's going to be a very very tough season for them next year

A bit...LOL. Everyone entitled to their own mate. I'm not going to put mine up as I don't think we will win it, of course i'd be delighted if we did. I can't agree on Stoke and Wolves being above us though. Even if we did lose Bent(Likely) and Holland I think we still have better players than most in CCC.

So you think CP will finish above us? Putting money down? I'll have a £10 with you.
  • and me hillsy.

    we could bankrupt SOS here!

Based on your assumptions it sounds like I should get a season ticket at the Valley with you Steve! People will think we are twins!
  • Wolves already have the basis of squad that can compete at the top end of the table and this will be boosted further as they have now had serious investment.
Pullis has done a great job at Stoke and has proved already that he is very good at playing the loan system.....you underestimate them at your cost.

I'm surprised a few of you have Preston in the shake up, they completely fell apart after the turn of the year and they looked like a group of players who had stopped believing they are good enough to go up.

    And people call us anoraks!!
  • ooh ahh with the real world call again!
I would like him to be wrong, but he's probably not!
  • none of us know what the squads will look like come the start of the season, so its pointless now.

But i think we will be minimum play offs. We should be.
  • Leicester City could be a good outside bet. New manager and new chairman with investment.
  • Charlton will win the league comfortably, there is no one to fear in the league, we just need to hit the ground running as we did in 99. I reckon we will top 100 points. Alan Pardews Red & White Army!!!!!!!
  • I fancy Watford to do well. Good manager and kept their squad together although there have been some changes at board level I hear.

Sheff Utd - Who knows with Robson. He got Boro promoted twice with Gibson's money but is IMO a terrible manager. Utd to have a decent squad on paper.

Us - Hard to say until we know all the comings and goings. We need, IMO, a shake up of the squad and it seems we are getting it. Pards and parky know this division, are clearly willing to buy players like Iwelumo and Varney who have a track record in this division. The defence looks solid and will be more so when Gibbs comes back ; - ) and will have one of the great Stoke Loan players that SOS liked so much back. Not sure if SOS will have heard of Jon Fortune. Centre half, scores occasionally from free kicks :-) Pards has used the loan system well and I think this will be key to which team does well in the CCC next year. Some good players from Chelsea, Arsenal, Man utd etc will make a big difference as proved with Birmingham last year.

Wolves have new owners, WBA had a very good squad and missed out. Can they keep it together? Palace? Lost thier parachute money and how much more will Mr Jordan be willing to put into the team or will he be forced to spend on buying Selhurst Park. They got some good results against lower placed sides but no so the top teams and had a poor home record and crowds slipping to just over 17k and that is with all the freebies they give out. They do have some good kids and a few older heads. I'd take Dougie Freedman now to do the job Mark Bright did for us in 98. Football brain and knows where the net is even if you're not going to get 90 mins every week.

My each way bet would be Sheff Wed for the play-offs.
