Who chose the games for the corporate package rates ????

As a sales director i thought very seriously recently about the possibility of taking a box or packages at the Valley to entertain clients of mine. I would lovee to know the person who has put the cclubs in the three packages listed below.

Queens Park Rangers, Southampton, Watford should be no more than gold packages with Ipswich Town,Norwich City and Sheff Utd in the platinum package.

here could be strong arguments for Preston, Colchester and Stoke, moving up a catogory considering the seasons they have all ahd over the past few seasons, with all due respect rather than QPR and Watford.

A seasonal executive box in the east stand costs £22,500 plus VAT, while a west stand box is £25,000 plus VAT for the season and includes a 20 foot perimeter board in the east stand, viewable from your box.

Supporters can also choose to 'pick and mix' their matches which are categorised as platinum, gold and silver (as listed below).

An executive box for seven matches next season, including no more than two platinum rated games, is just £7,500 plus VAT.

Boxes are also sometimes available on a match-by-match basis, priced £1,200 for platinum, £1,000 for gold and £850 (all prices are plus VAT) for silver games.

Contact the club's commercial centre team on 0871 226 1905 for details and availability.

Match categories:

Platinum matches: Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers, Southampton, Watford, West Bromwich Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Gold matches: Cardiff City, Coventry City, Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Norwich City, Preston North End, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday.

Silver matches: Barnsley, Bristol City, Burnley, Colchester United, Hull City, Plymouth Argyle, Stoke City, Scunthorpe United, Blackpool.

  • they all look like silver matches to me.....
  • Will be hard to justifiy £22.k out of the marketing budget,
  • Cue the text every thursday:

"If you want a chance to be in a corporate box for saturday's game against xxx at The Valley, text back now"
  • depends what the comparative price is for wham, spurs etc.

you might not see so many stars, but you will be seeing more competitive, and hopefully enjoyable games.
  • I agree with AFKA but with all due respect teh rates are slightly high, i dont think there will be many takers at them rates
  • Can't you buy a Club Wembley license for less then that?

It all depends on whether you have any valued clients who support teams in the Championship. I have a friend who is mad on WHU but when we were last in the football league he bought a corporate package at Charlton and only used it once coz his most valued customer was a QPR fan and the business he got from that client far outweighed the cost of the package.
  • We have 2 mid priced tickets to Arsenal £5k for the pair, all that you get with that is a 'free' drink at half time...

That box seems quite reasonable by comparision, the platinum games are surely just the one's with greatest demand? More likely to find a couple of clients supporting Watford and QPR than a Norwich Ipswich and Sheffield supporter unless you work in Farming or steel sectors!

Think you can but you have to commit to 10 years.

Think its about £12,000 a year at Wembley isnt it?

  • 22,500 = Less than £1000 per game for for how many seats? 12? Not bad value at all IMHO. include catering, great view, chance to sit right behind me if you are in the East Stand. especially as, as AFKA says, should be competative and winning games.

You will not be able to see the last 10 mins of the game with everyone leaving early.
  • As many people leave the North early as the East. I know as I watch them go : - )

In any case the boxes are at the back so you can stand up inside them and watch from there (if that wasn't against regulations of course)
