the silly money being banded about in wages got me thinking over the weekend that a season's sojourn in the championship might be a blessing in disguise if it gives us a chance to bring the wage bill back into line...we might have to cough up again if we go back up but we can get back to signing 'charlton type' players...no offence meant to the players and clubs concerned but when lampard is reportedly asking for £140k a week and the likes of west ham are said to be paying wages in the region of £80k a week then you know that some football clubs could be looking at meltdown...
