Getting a few of those players signed up to longer contracts would be a priority for the new owners I imagine, the likes of Aribo, Fosu and JFC who's contracts all expire in 20191
-
25 first team players
of them Clarke is long term injured and Page has played just 45 minutes this season.
Sarr is injured but Bauer and Pearce should be available and Lennon is now back.
Ajose has been, publically at least, welcomed back like the prodigal son but was very much unwanted a few weeks ago.
Umurah and Hanlan have both played league football this season so should maybe in the first team squad while Reeco is likely to join Maidstone or another National League 1 club soon on loan to gain more experience.
So 22 players and cover from every position now Dijksteel is seen as the back up right back and Page and Lennon can cover for Dasilva.
Assuming Robinson goes for two of Aribo, JFC and Kashi in the middle that leaves four places for the attacking players Reeves, Ajose, Kaikai, Foso, Magennis, Marshall, Mavididi and Zyro. 8 players for four places = a wealth of riches.3 -
on paper that has got to be one of the better sqauds in the league who knows where we could of been had we had this lot from the beginning and not had a couple of injuries, on that reading i cant see us not making playoffs providing the assists come, time to give josh a rest.0

With no cup games now, it'll be interesting what they do with the younger players. Loan a few out to the National League or maintain a strong U23 side?0
-
Reeco is also out of contract at the end of the season, I see.Henry Irving said:while Reeco is likely to join Maidstone or another National League 1 club soon on loan to gain more experience.
Can we assume the club want to offer him an extension/new contract?

Djiksteel a cm by trade and not a rb?0

True but he's 2nd choice RB and probably 5th choice CM. Could put others elsewhere as well. KR talked of Zyro playing up front while Mavididi is also an option there.BR7_addick said:Djiksteel a cm by trade and not a rb?

Henry I'm disappointed in you.

Third choice RB behind Konsa I'd say. But it's just easier for graphics the way things are laid out. Karl also said Kaikai can play up front. There's a lot of versatility in our squad.Scoham said:

The club have an option of extending Lennon's contract by a year.1 -
BTW It's Hanlan who's on loan at Bromley, and not Umerah1

Sort it our @AFKABartram @cabbles @WSS1 -
Relatively healthy position contracts wise with only Jackson, Lennon and Kashi being up at the end of the season. You'd assume that extensions for the first two would be a formality if we wanted them, Kashi might want to leave - I'd prefer to keep him but wouldn't pay over the odds to do so.0
-
And 5 loans will leave. And we will lose Konsa and probably Fosu and other if we don't go up.se9addick said:Relatively healthy position contracts wise with only Jackson, Lennon and Kashi being up at the end of the season. National League South is a bit disappointing, Chelmsford is quite near his brother though, who plays for Colchester!Henry Irving said:1 -
Yeah but it's his first senior loan. Might be good for him to just go somewhere where he can play regularly and hopefully even be a little too good for the league. I think it could do his confidence a world of good after the disappointment of the last month or so.killerandflash said:

Quite harsh. What, ten minutes as sub in a meaningless match. He is decent, tackles, moves ball quickly but got found out when said passes got intercepted by more experienced players than he was used to. Sure he will learn.wmcf123 said:

Meaningless? Blackpool at home was not meaningless whatsoever.harveys_gardener said:

Lapslie is a good player and I like him, but he was way out of his depth when he came on. Hopefully this loan will do him good and it’s only for a month, no biggy.3 -
I'll keep an eye out for lapslie. Is he meant to be any good?1

Stephy Malvididi - On Loan from Woolwich Arsenal
They have not been called that for over 103 years!
My dad used to call them that, along with Clapham (sic) Orient, but that was in the 1940s so he had a bit more excuse.
You must be incredibly old, Henry. Who do you fancy for the Cup this year, Blackburn Olympic?
Seriously, thanks for the useful update.
Curious we have only one specialist right-back out of both the First and u23 squads, and his fitness is always precarious.
