Not Millwall are quite an interesting one because the money is clearly there without any need to balance budgets to support a hugely expensive men's team as well. It's got a bit more of a 90s Blackburn feel to it, where a very rich person actually can buy an entirely new top squad in one or two transfer windows and seriously compete. When the new world record is £1.4m you can buy a brand new 11 and not even approach spending what top men's teams do on a backup keeper. I don't think it's good for the game, ultimately it will inflate prices and I think you'll see other teams' owners scale back before they seriously up the ante. We'll see
Perhaps time to drop your pretend name. About as far away from Millwall. They are a franchise team.

If the owner gets an offer to move to a new location they'll be off like a shot.
    No thank you.
  • Aren't LCL looking to build their own stadium I think I read?
  • Sunderland 1 up at Sheffield United at half time in the first game of the season.

    Sophie O'Rourke starting for United.

Vaguely recall it being planned a couple of years ago to be located in Swanley

They've moved in to use it for training.

The deal to play games at Bromley is for 5 seasons.

Sunderland win 4-0. Sheffield United don't seem to have improved much after their relegation reprieve.
  • Watching the Chelsea v City game, surprised to see Nicky Ajose there as City assistant manager

Interesting choice, and tbh I'm surprised he's stayed in football after hanging his boots up early, so credit to him

Ellie Brazil, Mary Bashford and Atlanta Primus (as captain) start for Southampton, and Beth Roe starts for Ipswich.

  • The pitch looks great.

  • That was a fantastic reaction save from Whitehouse
  • Whitehouse keeping us in this 🙏
  • Great battling from Muya and Bissell, Hutton needs to hit the target there
  • Hutton should be burying that
  • Think we’re playing ok enough here

I agree. Considering they're a new group they seem to be gelling quickly.
  • Not bad defensively but really poor on the ball. Getting overrun in the midfield with this shape which is what always happens unless you have lightning fast wide players and we don’t. The strategy seems to be to press high but the players are slow to press. Need to take more care on the ball second half and add an extra player to midfield
